When you were feeling down on certain kinds of black people these are the things that cause some of those people to be that way. When you are taught to fight and other things like that....it isnt always just because someone wants to be bad. People realise the dog eat dog mentality that comes with living in urban areas. They know if their kids are not able to defend themselves, they will be eaten alive[so to speak].

I have a friend that has a boyfriend that's mentally & emotionally abusive but she "cant" leave bc he pays ALL OF HER BILLS & she doesnt work. I keep telling her that she needs to at minimum take out child support but also get a job bc any day he could just walk out & leave her with bills, then what's she going to do? Ive also told her that sense she cant have an actual journal bc he's nosey, 2 write it all down on paper 2 get it out then tear it up and toss it. But as always she doesnt listen.

I think this may be of some help with the importance of journals. With the weight of medical bills, a handicapped wife, two jobs, and a family that thinks I'm their sounding board, I had one night where I got frustrated and angry at everything going on in my life. I just sat down, pulled out my journal and started with "the problem I'm having today is", and in 10 minutes spilled out everything that got me mad. I felt much better after, and no money spent on therapy. it really does work.

Dealing with negative environmental energy is a very real struggle. Being very conscience of it and compartmentalizing it in your mind is very important.

Trouble don't last always. Stay strong in heart. Keep your beliefs and goals in front of you always.

But I had to move from Harlem and NYC, and leave the drama behind to follow my new goals.

When I was there I have a very healthy balance by spending a lot of time in mid Manhattan and just uptown.

Um, I like the message you're trying to bring here, and I'm glad that you are trying to help people to stay strong, but what you are describing really isn't nihilism. What you are describing is more like depression and despair. And even though people like to equate nihilism with despair, that's not really what it is. Nihilism is just a realization that there really is no intrinsic value in human morality, and that existence really don't have any higher meaning. That's it. Response vid coming up.
