Dude, why couldn't you just say great song without adding the "somebody has to tell those Black American etc". lol the brothers are trying to promote African consciousness and unity universally, the focus is not solely on BA's but the entire Black diaspora.

I found that so fascinating, I wanted to live that lifestyle, real talk. This was eight years ago of course lol but anyway, some people have this image of Africa which doesn't correspond to the Africa of today, but rather the Africa from which their ancestors left in chains. What they have to understand is that they will never no the Africa of old but rather the Africa of today

That lifestyle still does exist.. its just much more rural now... I am originally from a village called Orlu in Nigeria.. I moved to the UK and finished schooling their in my teens and now I live in abuja (city), Industrialisation has changed Africa dramatically but some still do choose to live the secluded jungle life.. which I very much love and respect.. I mean it when I say.. It's a true sense of freedom and oneness.. I believe africans must move forward but not neglect who we are

Europeans would have your perception see living in a Jungle as "Bad" or even near one. But when you are european & live in the hilltops / forests.. theres no issue, its "choice". I don't fall for such bullshit. They have demonized everything about us, our animals which we hold dearly.. our tropical landscape and our cultures and quite frankly i'm free of western perception and comfortable with myself.. LOL that must be due to the romanticized image some people have of Africa. I was actually disappointed when I found out that most animals are kept in what we call "parcs nationaux". I had always believed that animals roamed free, that there was a symbiotic relationship between animals and the African., a state of harmony, quoi. Not at all.. there was once a time when you could see alot of animals in the wild.. now.. many animals are kept in " preservation parks " which is positive but also can have negative outputs on ecosystems..
During and After colonialism many people started hunting bushmeat due to crippled eco-systems (thanks to europeans) and some species have been faced with near extinction in some area's.. others nah.. but no brother.. I'm not at all offended..
