  • omg, those sounds. gimme gimme.

  • Good ol trusted mechanical keyboard. I have a 9 year old one from an old windows and i still use it, because it feels so clicky and mechanical and i like that!

  • does it work on a mac?

  • @PantIessKnight yes but no mac keyboard functions if that is what you are after.

  • @mrbit10 no sir just strictly gaming!

  • looks like its too compact

  • Hey, it's not even plugged in. Wireless? lol

  • Is everything the same size as a normal keyboard (key size and key spacing)

  • soothing sound

  • You just wrecked your keyboard with that stupid custom esc button.

  • Just a heads up, but you have the title listed right as Cherry MX Blue but then you have it listed wrong in the description as Cherry MX Brown.

  • @zeththedarkmage thanks, i have it corrected :)

  • I was gonna grab myself one of these, but I bought a Realforce 87u instead. True story.

  • @xC4Rbonx nice keyboard

  • omg was that to demonstrate how loud the key strokes could be?

  • Hello world ... I want one of those keyboards. I'm off to Japan in a month ... maybe I'll get one when I get there?

  • @HolidayNova

Err, the Noppoo Choc Mini is more of a Chinese thing. There are lots of mechanical 'boards, though.

  • @manjyoumethunder ah cool :) pitty I'm going to Japan then :/ That was a very cool keyboard... I have a stellseries gaming one but I think I want a mechanical one that has that sound and feel...

  • @HolidayNova

Plenty of mechanical boards in the US!

Look into the Leopold Tenkeyless from EliteKeyboards, the Razer BlackWidow, the Unicomp SpaceSaver and the Das Keyboard.

I recommend the SpaceSaver as a low cost entry point, even if it's not the best looking board. Very clicky, very responsive, and made with the same machinery as the original IBM Model Ms.

  • @manjyoumethunder As the absolute best mechanical with no cost limit.. what would you choose? Something great for both gaming and typing with? how about Filco? and I hope the windows key on the left can be turned off for when I'm playing sc2 ... so I don't exit out of the game in the heat of battle :)

  • @HolidayNova

Kind of hard to get Filcos in the US nowadays.

Best keyboard? The Realforce 87U. But it's a Topre switch, which is sort of between a mechanical switch and a dome keyboard. They feel great and last for ages though.

Best strictly mechanical? I'd go with the Leopold Tenkeyless-es. Brown switches for gaming and typing.

    Use AutoHotKey to remap/disable keys.

  • @manjyoumethunder I couldn't help myself ... I did as much research as I could and ordered the Filco Majestouch 2 TenKey-less tactile clicky BLUE Cherry keyswitches... I guess it's going to be very clicky and the guys will hear my ever key hit in SC2 over the microphone. The Realforce 87U 55G review looks amazing though!!! I want this keyboard too.. seems like it's military grade. I'm just worried I won't be able to remap my keys on the Filco ... that windows key on the left can be annoying

  • @HolidayNova

Where'd you find somewhere to order a Filco in the US? Do they offer support in the case of malfunction and whatnot?

AutoHotKey can remap any keyboard just fine.

  • @manjyoumethunder Try amazon for filcos, and the Noppoos are abailable on E-Bay

  • @manjyoumethunder Ducks are good keyboards as well, a Filco alternative perhaps.

  • @mrbit10

A lot of GeekHackers complain about the build quality of Ducky relative to the Filcos.

  • Still using the newest full size Apple Keyboard. I'd like to have one of the older Apple keyboards, those are nice.

  • My own small collection of mechanical boards has included:

ABS M1 (black alps - fukkas)

Dell AT101W (black alps ... four of these boards, too)

    SIIG MiniTouch (white alps)

    Unicomp Customizer 104 (buckling springs)

Noppoo Choc Mini (cherry mx blue)

I'd get a Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry MX Browns, but I'm running out of space to keep them!

  • Aha. I love my Noppoo Choc Mini, but sadly it's developed some key chattering issues. Lots of double letters. I've stuck to using my GeekHack Space Saver (SIIG MiniTouch, white ALPS) since.

  • I just bought an Apple A9M0330 ADB keyboard for my B/W G3, it uses white Alps keyswitches. I may do a video when I get it.

  • I'm still typing on an IBM model M. I love clicky keys :) Nice keyboard by the way. I'm sure you're enjoying it.

  • I have a clacker to, they're the best.

  • I cannot believe I just watched someone clicking keys for 2:47 minutes ...

  • @HaywardJack there are a few vids where a guy from japan does reviews on these keybaords & i did the same, watched a video of clicking noises, i found it therapeutic oddly.

  • @mrbit10 haha, Just leave it on repeat, thats what I say. :P

  • @mrbit10 I ACTUALLY love the sound of keyboards being used, this video is better than sex! Who needs sex when you can use a keyboard? bahahahahaha

  • @mrbit10 therapeutic is the right word. lol

What's the dudes YT channel? I want to check it out.

  • @Minimum91 check out tkykhs that is the channel

  • omg you lost your voice ! lol...oh man, how I'm so happy to get away from these keyboards lol too loud lol i like my chic let keyboard aka island style keyboard...i find I'm faster on that....can never go back to the old style keys..

  • @DRBUK lol i love mechanical keyboards. :P

  • @DRBUK you know there is a whole art to these keyboards now, rapid response and such with contacts & etc. these are very big in Asia from what i hear. You can type faster, from what i have observed with these keyboards. lol click click,

  • Machine washable!

  • click clack clikc clack click clack. my old roommate had a mechanical, he liked to type while i slept, so i smashed it, lol
