I love that this show takes its time putting Rick into his role as a soldier. Other shows, especially today, would have him become an expert fighter by the end of the first, maybe second episode. It's awesome that it slows down and gives character development, building the tension for when the sh*t goes down.

In the books they go into greater detail on some of the minor characters in the episodes. Like the long haired girl in the pin point barrier room joined up because her brother died in the first attack.

I really wish they gave Lieutenant Hays a different voice character. It barely fits the old hag at all! Same as Minmay. Her voice shouldn't be as cute and cuddly. It makes her seem so stupid. Should have gave her a more mature but teenage voice. :D

Minmei is horrendous but the character wasn't the problem it was how the voice actress sounded :P I think with a little retooling and a better voice actress she'd be better than before. I love all the ROBOTECH series.... it's my favorite show on earth lol! I have a serious robot and mech obsession and this is the perfect show for me haha! PLUS I love the stories so that helps :D
