  • I own a DB01 and Race it against B44s, Losi XXX4s and Yokomo BMAX4s. It really holds its own in the modified class. Can't wait till tamiya brings out the DB02 :)

  • Great video, i love slow mo rc. Watching the suspension moving, its the things you don't see when out playing, nice one.....

  • I can't decide which to get the re re Hotshot or the Boomerang! It would be used just for running around on the beach and anywhere else that would have good terrain. Considering everything about the two cars, which would you reccomend? I would also put a 13T 3000KV Ezrun in it. Cheers.

  • @englandforeverist

    Hello.

    I recommend a hotshot.

Because a hot shot is the first 4WD model of TAMIYA.

And, the styling of it is good.

It is possible to enjoy it only by looking at.

  • @zuruzuru567 I've wanted a hot shot since I was 14. :)

  • @englandforeverist Wait for the DB02 (late 2012), or get the DB01 :)

  • Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

  • Looking at it in slo-mo makes one realize the punishment those little cars get at speed. Amazing how long my old boomer held up with a kyosho mega-motor, but it would most certainly NOT survive my 4-star with a Li-Po.... I am happy Tamiya re-released tho old geezers. Bought about all of them, but i dare not run them.

  • @diakrite there rc cars not revell models lol , use em just dont abuse em . but thats up to you

  • @skatesoft44 Ugh..don't remind me. I brokeabout 7 gear-sets and a chassis (still don't understand how I did that..) in my first boomerang, then I learnt to drive without jamming the throttle and my second boomer lived quite a bit longer..until the 480-gold on 8,4v hehheh.....

The sh.. I pull on my Slash, would most certainly kill all of'em in no time short. Technology and plastics have come a long way. I never dreamt my Electro buggies would regularly hit 40 mph on the straights.

  • @diakrite lol yeah but i know even when i drive my lst2, slash4x4, or tmaxx they still dont give me the same feeling i get when i drive my hotshot. but yes i do agree plastics have come a long way.

i just put a reedy radon in my hotshot and let me tell you it MOVES. i actually just made a video of it today the video is still in the editing process though. ill notify you when its up

  • I love your movie very much!

Looking for your next highspeed movie!

  • awesome

  • Great vid man, the old booma & shot look the business on camera!!

  • really cool to see vintage tamiya buggies in slow mo, would be nice to see some more jumping and cornering action from these

  • the durga is an amazing car I own one too...but it does not have the charm of the old tamiyas..hornet.hot shot..lunchbox...etc...and does not look as good in the videos either..those other cars have charisma the durga just looks like futuristic blahh...old school for the win

  • wow - the segement at 2:18 is really cool with the leaves and the slow mo. Nice!

Interesting to see how the modern suspension of the db01 totally outperforms the ancient mono-shock designs.

  • Thank you for the comment !!

I also felt admiration for the work of a modern suspension.

  • very nice video! ;-)

  • awesome...keep it up!
