Huh, so all of the 2-player features that were in Sonic Adventure 2 were retained in the GameCube version.

@megamanfan3 In the Gamecube version they made almost all levels playable, Big the Cat was replaced with a Dark Chao, and most 2P-only characters had they gameplay changed. Also, the alternate costumes are different.

@freakgirl713 Some of those were in the SA2 official site (the "Home Page" option in the main menu). Others were unreleased because Sega stopped working on the Dreamcast, but they were either leaked or hacked and could be found in a few Sonic fan sites.

for those who don't know, the dreamcast was the very 1st online gaming console.

sega really encouraged gamers to go online. i don't think the SA2 site is still up due to the fact the sega stopped making the dreamcast in 2001.

but the GC has no online so yeah.

in the GC disk i think you either got a main themes by beating the whole SA2 story (light, dark and last).

I have 165 emblems and my little sister has 145 (hers are from messing with my action replay, mine are from hard work) and she had the omochao voice in shop for 10000 rings. I went into my account and I was like OMG I want omochao! But the one I really wanted was amy (I only like her japanese voice) And amy ended up being first in the shop! 20000 rings though.

They retain the default narrator. The Christmas and Halloween themes just change the characters' costumes in 2P mode.

Probably to even it up with the GameCube's unique features. I mean, you start with all the battle-exclusive characters in SA2B but in the DC version you have to unlock all 6 of them.

You know what I really hate though? In games like SA2 where the extra playable characters that aren't involved with the story happen to not have a voice set. I have seen many examples in games. Are game developers, voice actors, voice directors, etc. just lazy or something? Seriously. It seems interesting to hear a character talk when you know that they're in the game but when you unlock them and THIS happens, you get pissed off, right?

Probably not such a big deal but... ah well.

Sonic adventure 2 battle has a 2 player mode and a unlockable 3-D version of Green hill zone from sonic 1.

Both Sonic Adventure 2 and Battle have the hidden GHZ stage, but Battle has a more extensive 2-player mode, while the original has a less complex 2-player.

Besides, Battle is a REMAKE, meaning not all things are going to be exactly alike(plot does not count.)

They are using the Dreamcast version, witch used the Dreamcast adapter to access the SEGA website.

Dreamcast was the FIRST console to use Internet conectivity, the PS2 came near the end of Dreamcast's lifespan.

PS1, N64 and Jaguar were babys compared to the Dreamcast anyway.

PS1:64-bit

N64: Same as above

Jaguar: 16-bits

DC: 128 bits ****er!

So the Dreamcast was advanced for it's time, due to supporting 128 bits instead of just 64 bits, Beat only because PS2 had DVD support.

As for Maria's theme in the GC version you first need to collect all 180 Emblems, then link Sonic Advance to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Then the theme should appear in the Black Market for 30,000 Rings.

This is SA2 for the Sega Dreamcast. You see the Homepage option on the menu? The Dreamcast had a modem and SA2 utilized it to access the Black Market and all sorts of other things..
