Hey there :) umm,i have a question.Whats the percentage of flow of drawing the upper lip and shadow at LO4 and LO5,0:09-0:015?

I have a question. You say like 19 seconds in to go on layer five and click this checkered box thing. I have photoshop cs5 so i dont know if i just dont have it or not haha but if you could tell me where and what it is that would be great!

@Finchday I used CS2 for this one ;-) OK, you have to lock the layer (you can find the icon on the top of layer panel) If you don't find it, you can go on my "photoshop basics" on my website, there is screenshot.

Does this work in all versions of Photoshop?

I'm using CS5 and did exactly what you said (+ using a graphics tablet) and the gaussian blurs are waaaay too much and ruining the whole thing.

The same happens with your eye tutorial.

I'm trying to do these for about 4 days now, and I still haven't figured out what should I do differently. =(

@theyummyfactory For this one, I had CS2. What is the size of your document ?

@theyummyfactory not sure if you've already figured this out by this point but the amount of Gaussian blur really depends on how big [in terms of pixels] your mouth is. The smaller the drawing you have is, the less Gaussian blur you'll need. And vice versa

For example it is said to use 400size brush, I'm using smaller x) so I try to ajust.

Which version of photoshop is this? I only have version CS2 and I don't seem to find this tutorial very useful bc the steps you're telling me to do aren't working.

@StephanieValentin When you said to put the opacity to a certain setting, it doesn't work how you're drawing it on the video. Also, when you apply the gaussian blur, it seems to work fine for you, but when I apply it, it applies the blur way too much. And I didn't seem to understand the gradient layer because it made my entire picture fuzzy ):

Now, I did find this tutorial useful, but only when I tweaked it a little bit. My finished project came out blurry.

LadyKeiroko "Gaussian blur" has been in Photoshop since at least Photoshop 4 look for it under you filters area. Many other photo programs feature this tool. To the artist Very nice values. Very soft though. I did photo illustration professionally for 13 years though I must admit I prefer brush and pencil.

did u use a bamboo pad or a tablet of sum sort o_o. for the life of me I can't draw with a mouse at all but I use my laptops senser pad as a mini pad but it doesnt compare to what how youve drawn those lips.

@metarika2 Use Ad Blocker Plus. It's a free plug for Firefox and it stops all youtube ads. I wouldn't even bother with youtube if I had to watch those damn things.
