The SMS vs the 392 would be VERY close. Acceleration wise, they are running very similar times. Braking is nearly the same. The 392 will have a slight edge in handling due to the 2011s revised suspension, and the numbers back this up. For the money, get a 392. For the looks and exclusivity, get the SMS.

2.) it's not all about displacement, many cars can have 10hp per liter or more if they are high rev high enough or, if they have a superb-compression ratio. most American cars usually do not, because of lazy engineering, or to have an engine lees maintenance prone.

3>) I don't know specifically of a 5.7L making 500hp, but it can easily be done. Hell, a Ferrari (example) make that much or more power per liter.
