Honda is where its at. My xr400 it stock with 30k still runnin strong never rebuilt. My crf450 most reliable bike out there and my cr250 never let me down once. Quit with the 2 stoke vs 4 stroke comments. Its stupid. 4 strokes are where the technolagy is. Fuel injection, suspension, light weight, and un like 2 strokes they hook up and dont spin. Face it 4 strokes are where its at. But shut up and ride.

i have had both bikes xr400 then went to a 04 ktm450exc im now back on the honda xr400 cant beat the fun factor of outriding top end enduro bikes.. love it the xr is a top bike not even had to adjust my valves yet

i ride honda but i wont lie.....KTM makes some of the fastest machines in the world.....and some of the fastest quads that are produced are powered by KTM....for example the new polaris outlaw i believe has a KTM motor.....i mean they make 450 4-strokes that run with 500 2 strokes

I know what you mean Elemento! I just sold my ktm 250 exc 2 stroke and bought an xr 400 No special oils required No high octane fuel No premix No changing of the oil after every ride No stalling when you want to talk to your mate, open a farm gate or head down a kill hill slowly. I can just get on the fucking thing and ride! Ktm 250 2 stroke = stupidly fast noisy riding at all times XR 400 = stupidly fast riding sometimes + cruizy scenic rides at other times DRY SUMPS ROCK!!!!

fuck yeah see old bud rip it up on that xr 400 thats what i want to see. also it dont matter what gearing you have its how you ride it. yeah the right gearing helps but you just gotta deal with what youve got for the time being and give it your best effort. was ashame to see him drop his new bike but shit happens.

hahaha thats funny, im 17 and i ride an xr400 i ride with kids on brand new crf's and ktm's but i have no trouble keeping up and when i get my L's i can still ride my xr yah haha

Hi i made the pipe up from a wr450 pipe and cut the inside out and put a 2" pipe in it.

i have had this bike from new 05 done 16000km and it still kicks ass love it, they are not fast but they go any where . cheers steve
