I got one question for you man how reliable is this thing because I do alot of weddings and stuff and I dont need something freezzing up on me in the middle of a gig because i heard the vestax 300 was really bad keeps frezzing and everything and its not worth the 900 bucks but if this thing is reliable then i save my self alot $ so please respond

The Hercules Rmx itself is very reliable. It all depends what Computer you're using.

I have 2 laptops, both PC (one Acer and one Gateway), they haven't ever frozen up on me.

I take my precautions though. I make sure i have nothing else running (antivirus, cdrom, msn... etc)

My friend and co-dj has a Mac, and his froze up 2 times during a wedding we were doing, Then a week later it did it again. I"m not a Mac hater, just funny that his machine is almost $1500 more than mine.

i was interested in buying a hercules rmx as well.

I have virtual dj on my computer which is not a trial version, but i am unsure if it is compatible with this mixer.

Do i have to have a specific virtual dj console version to work with the mixer? thanks

The Hercules rmx is fully customid with virtual dj... any version works with the RMX. I personaly recoment version 5, home or pro.
