I HAAATTE my dentist. Whever I go to get my regular cleaning, I swear to God, the lady that flosses me pushes so hard on my gums and it's so unbearably horrid. Oh, and then she almost took my tooth out while flossing, but the actual dentist (It's a guy) is incredibly nice and gentle with my teeth. I despise the dental assistances
oh my. i'm sorry u had 2 go thru that. i recently been 2 the dentist 2 but it was 4 a root conal & fill in. i 2 had a bad experience. the shots 2 num the pain was soo painful because my gums was already swollen. after she did the root conal & temp fill in, my face swelled up & i had to take meds 4 that. i was a cry baby 2. but the last visit was pretty cool & pain free. i'm just so happy that it's all over with. i suppose 2 get other minor stuff done but i wont be going back 4 a lil while. lol

Hell the needles the gave me to numb my mouth used to make me cry! I gotta get some teeth pulled soon so hopefully i can take the needles better. Oh goodness! I have to have a root canal, and I was prescribed antibiotics and pain killers. This has me worried. I also have to have all four wisdom teeth extracted, and an impacted tooth as well. Yikes!! Bad experiences with people who are supposed to be helping SUCK.

girl i had a female dentist n she was bitch.i got put to sleep 4mine n tell me y i kept waking up in the middle of the procedure?! turns out they didnt give me enough meds at the right time and i woke hollerin every 10 minutes.my mom said her n half the waiting room was cryin bc that was the most terrifying sound they ever heard.they ended up givin me more sleep meds too late so i was just dead weight when they were done.i had 2b wheeled out the back door so i wouldnt scare da other patients
OMG that sounds horrible! i'm so sorry that you don't have insurance. but every time i hear these horrible i-went-to-the-doctors-stories, i feel like i'm listening to a person living in a third world country. i don't mean to offend anyone, but how can anyone still call the USA no 1? that health system is ghetto!
@Callisino you are correct, but in California thats how it is. Being that I am over 21, with no children, no disabilities, Im not homeless, dont have a crminal record, and Im a student, Im classified as an "Indigent Adult" meaning that Im not a priority for the medicare. Basically because Im somewhat of a "normal" person they feel I should be able to get it on my own, which isnt the case for many young ppl esp students
I had a horrible experience at the GYN too.. omg.. I felt raped. It was like this doctor b...female didn't even care that the shit was painful. I was crying so hard that I ended up having an asthma attack and she ended up putting Morphine in my IV and leaving me in there drugged for hours :( It sucks because I'm in Med school and I'd never do that to another person ever.
@miszreese omg, girl were you getting a pap smear? I've never heard one....I'm 24, and I'm so nervous to get one. This is kinda personal, but my doc told me it wasn't totally "necessary" unless I was sexually active, which I'm not yet.... I'm torn, my girls be telling me that it's super painful and due to my sexual status, it'll be ten times worse ;-/ but at the same time, wanna maintain the health down there. sigh.Srry this was so long, but I like to get as much info as I can on this stuff.lol
I'm so sorry you went thru that! See this is why I'm terrified to go to the dentist.. I had a root canal and they ended up having to do oral surgery to remove the tooth and they made me overdose on novacaine.. Im terrified of the dentist and i need to go so bad.
woooow...i used to dental assist if the tooth was impacted there is no way it wont hurt or if the root was twisted mann...ouch...wut it sounds like to me is that there was an abcess like an infection at the root of the tooth so no matter wut it would hurt cause your gumline was already irritated...but dang girl you definately can take some novacaine geea whiz and you felt no numbness that sux..hope you feel better
lmaooooo I literally just went through this last monday. I cried all after like a little bitch omw home. I didn't want to talk to anyone. Then they gave me some penicillin and it made me vomit. I think im allergic too. & My mouth is still numb -_- i got it done monday! wtf. How ironic we just went through the same stuff.
Omg. we must have the same Dentist or somethin. cause back when i was a freshmen in high school, i went to the dentist just get a check up, dentist tell me you got a cracked baby tooth we goin to remove it. so he numbs my gum with this shot and as he was pullin on my tooth with some pilers i told him i can feel it. gives me a shot again and yanks my tooth out. The Pain was BAD where i was crying, my mouth is bloody full of cotton balls, the nurses and doctor both had stank attitudes.
@MissCandyDelight2012 Plus it was really cold that day. in the winter time. by time i walked outside the icy wind was hitting my face on the side where i got my tooth pulled out at. that made it hurt worst more. my dad askin me do i wanna go to school after i left the dentist office. im like no, im in too much pain. So Now i'm almost a senior in hs and my tooth havent grown back yet. i think that dentist took out my adult tooth

I had to console my mom for four HOURS after that. I empathize with u hun, im glad u feel better! :)
