  • abergethirty no you idiot i was over at figurerealm. com and they were called Crash Dummies they were based off of these guys and the cartoon

  • Cute! I remember these.

  • HAHAHAAAHA I WATCHED THIS In drivers ed

  • Lorenzo Music was a great voice actor of his day.

I still think of him as Garfield.

How he went too soon...and yet, we miss him.

  • I think they quit using the crash test dummies in the PSA's because people were capitalizing on the characters with toys and crap that was dilluting the original intent of the productions. Basicly to get the word out to wear your seat belts. They went with another theme and the commercial parasites dwindled and died.

  • Oh man ...so many memories!

  • i was looking for the tv programme on sky three and i found this

  • Same hgere

  • i cant find the CG show on youtube!

  • the unsespecting eye's of the unweary crash test dummies pierces the heart of any person to behold it's power, and it's strength is like that of a lion, beautiful and majestic in it's element, and so we say goodbye to they're unweary spirites, but they will always live on in our hearts.

  • lmao

  • I loved Vince and Larry. They were humorous.

  • cool i love it wear ur belt it will make ur ride much saver :)

  • Or choke you, in a minor accident, like my cousin.

  • I was in love with the one with the Garfield voice. No idea why. I fell in love so quickly when I was five, lol...

I was convinced I was going to marry Darkwing Duck, Bonkers D. Bobcat, Sylvester the Cat and Razor from Swat Kats...

  • It was ok kinda funny. =p

  • Vince and Larry were my childhood fear. Not quite sure why now...Maybe because I was 4 and they're limbs flew everywhere and I was sure they were real people..hmmm...the nostalgia.

  • oh my gosh, mine too! my moyher would tell me that when i was five, every time that commercial came on, i used to go beserk and dart into her room because i was so scared....i mean, these damn things give me the creeps even just looking at them XP

  • hahaha. So I wasn't the only one. :D

  • lmao me 2

  • lol

  • sounds like garfield

  • man i used 2 watch the series they were fuckin awsome. wish there was some way of watchin them online

  • Awesome, I so remember those commercials!

  • lol

  • Ah, the 80's. Those were the good old days.

  • I remember this commercial...hahha. Good stuff.

  • Dont be a dummy buckle up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That must be Lorenzo Music's voice before he died!

  • Never knew he died. When was this?

  • I think Lorenzo Music died around 2000, 2001 (possibly 1999, but I don't think so). The Crash Test Dummy commercial I want to see again is the one where they sing "Backseat Baby" with Ray Charles.

  • Im trying to find that 2

  • who did the voice of the other dummy? I recognize lorenzo music's voice but I don't recognize the other one.

  • The other one was voiced by comedian Jack Burns, who created the short-lived 1980s sketch show "Fridays" (it was like "Saturday Night Live," only it came on Friday nights, was taped in the West Coast, and specialized in drug humor for laughs instead of sex, weird characters, and current events like SNL does)

  • He also played "Warren", a sheriff's deputy on the color episodes of the Andy Griffith Show.

  • @SpikeLanta the voice actor for vince the crash test dummy was by jack burns

  • i know bucklening up saves lives but sometimes i feel like the seat belt is choking me.

  • THere are these clip things now that they invented that you can put on your belt that helps pull it down a little so you dont have it like at your throat. Its helpful if you are short like me. There is no reason not to wear your seatbelt. Many people die in crashes because they are not wearing one. so "Dont be a dummy"

  • thanks jupiter.

  • I always buckle up.

And the old Incredible Crash Dummies cartoon was awesome.

  • haha i like how the dummies fly across the lab

  • I used to have the action figures. When you push the buttons, their heads and limbs would go flying everywhere.

  • You are confused. This was a goverment sponsored PSA. They didn't sell action figures. You are thinking of toys that copied the PSA called Crash and Bernie.

  • Larry and vince were part of the line in Gray and Blue. First of the line.

  • Sure.

  • Seriously.

  • shut up! your telling me a dummie is smarter then me! go jump in a lake!

  • boring i dont belive in buckling my set belt

  • your stupid then

  • agreed

  • I got to remember that quote from the commercial featuring crash dummies Vince and Larry: "You could learn a lot from a dummy. Buckle your safety belt."

  • I think it's one of the most brilliant lines ever written for a commercial. Very clever. That quote sticks in your mind, so you never forget to wear your seat belt. The commercials in the 80's were awesome. They were creative, funny, and entertaining. Now, commercials suck.

  • YEA

  • I think I might have seen these guys when I was really little...

  • lol they are my gods the crash test dummies are

  • this commercial is from before side airbags

  • lol

  • best invention... dummies or seat belts jojo

  • ha ha ha ha ha!

  • Pretty good, I think these dummies may like some side airbags for their birthday.

  • Preety cool

  • Seat belts: Great invention testsd by some dummies

  • lol

  • Ahahaha...LOL
