Definitely true. I have turtles. and i'm completely crazy about them. In fact I talk a lot about them, i get worried about them when i'm not home, i spend so much money on them and my friends think i'm totally crazy. One of them even hates them. i don't understand how people could hate turtles. I mean, it's fun to watch them. I could spend hours watching them!

I think I've had almost every reptile except the poisoness ones. I dispize spiders, cause I was bitten by a brown reclouse. So no spiders on my part....

I had a pet skunk, ferret, turtles, snakes, rats, dog, cats, lizard, frogs.

I have 3 dogs, a bird and a turtle. I'm allowed to have more turltes and I'm getting another but the second I mentioned a snake my dad almost faintedXD

As a person into "tank" pets including fish and aquatic turtles, the problem is MTS, Multiple Tank Syndrome. It is almost impossible to cure and almost every gets it. Just for the record, I also have a cat besides 4 tanks. My goal is to retire into a pet shop business at some point.

Everything you said is on the money,I have two lizards a four foot green iguana,and a baby bearded dragon. Some people think I'm crazy,but I'm not I just love reptiles. ahaha you speak the truth!!! i work at a local petstore and it is HILARIOUS..i get to talking to customers and it NEVER FAILS of course they ask " what do you have " and when i start out with my dogs then i say reptiles...they go from "=)" to "0.o"...or when i am showing my fellow herpers our selection i always see a "O.O" look on other customers faces & the speed walk away lol..most GUYS i know ( customers/ friends etc ) LOVE girls that like reptiles xD so keep ya head up, your not alone lol.

Yeah, I have reptiles and fish. Beyond a relationship level, people dont care, they find it interesting. But my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years, and I lived their up until 5 months ago. That is one of the biggest things, he says "Omg, its like a pet store in here, or a zoo. Should focus and spend your money on other things" I ended up having to giveaway my turtles, but am hoping to get them back in the future, and my i gave away my leopard geckos. Now all I have are beardies

yeah the wife at first didn't get that i love reptiles but she has understood and i now have 2 leopards and one crested. so like you said if they truly love you then they will understand and let you be you. great vid and don't sweat it. PEACe!!

Nobody in my life likes reptiles and they are put off by my snakes and lizards.Sometimes I feel like a bit of an outcast lol I try showing people them and making them understand them more but the response I get alot is "they'd make a nice pair of boots" lol It sucks and I think it does somewhat effect relationships in ways.Love the video,Thumbs up!

people think the whole snake thing is wierd and stuff. Until i tell them that I breed them and how much some of the higher end snakes usually sell for. Then it usually terns from skeptisism to interest. But when it comes to relationships, in the end, I'll always end up loosing. Because snakes always come first. And no woman can stand to take second place to some snakes.

@varanidguy Not sure really...I used to play with bugs, box turtles and snakes outside near my house when I was little and I had always wanted a turtle as a pet. Also, I have allergies so I do best with pets that do not have fur.

As a fellow herp enthusiast, I have found that some people can be really stand-offish when you mention it to them. I prefer to just ease them into the idea and not force the subject.

I think it depends on the person. If they are really into you, then it shouldnt matter. They will want you to do and associate with what you like or love to do. The double standard is usually applied by people who judge others.. I think you should do what you love, and let the haters hate, and let us admires, admire.. keep the vids comin :)
