  • It is really too bad that Matthew had to start that lawsuit business. But the band still kicks ass.

  • Les dije que este tema es magia pura, la gloria en su estado más natural?!... escuchen desde 00:00 a 7:14... Aquellos mágicos '60s

  • It is nice to see Matthew's draw-bar settings. Will try it thanks. Jukebox Johnny

  • What the hell's with that guy who doesn't like it? Hey!!! @ 4:26

  • Whitehorn's just superb tone and performance... my god...

  • Grandi

    direi ancor più da vecchi

    SPLENDIDO BRANO

  • To Mr. Whitehorn------Robin would approve, definitely!

  • i love hammond organ, i love giutar solo , i love piano, drums and bass ! i love Repent Walpurgis!

  • the dark, brooding figure of matthew Fisher hunched over the organ fits this music perfectly, pure genius. There isn't an instrumental piece ever written that comes close to this (and there's been plenty) Herb Alpert an honourable mention. And Gary Booker still doing his thing even today, you can see his enjoyment playing to appreciative audiences

  • Simplesmente maravilhoso

  • And to add: in Wapurgi's day I have nothing to repent too...only things to be proud of-like employing people after worked myself hard.

  • What a powerfull music experience this is!!! I dont repent coming here and listen!

  • Majestic!

  • what a hammond thanks to M.F.

  • you never get it better thanks to mathew

  • Oooohhooo! That is the great music of good old times.

  • The guitar...oh my ....!

  • Tops everything I've ever heard in my life!...

  • Shiver Shiver Shiver~~~~~~~~~~~~!!

  • it's exactly 6 seconds too long, otherwise PERFECT :))

  • J'adore!

  • A classic!

  • Now here's a piece of classic rock that so called classic rock stations with a playlist of about 50 songs never play. I think I'm being very generous when I say the playlists have 50 songs

  • What a huge, glorious dirge of a song this is. No matter how many versions you hear, the monumental strength of it carries you away. Thank you for the video.

  • Da far tremare i polsi...!!!!

  • senza parole, grandi.

  • As big an influence as Hendrix is on my guitar since I began in '66...if I could just play chordaly like Fisher I would be satisfied in every musical way.

  • Guitarist?

  • A wonderful rendition. Understated and smooth as it gets. My favorite song of all time without question. Brilliant combination of rock and classical. Emotional and moving. I love many, many pieces of music, but none as i love this one. I've heard it thousands of times and I feel new heights of emotion each and every time. Thanks Gary. Thanks Matthew. Thanks my missing hero Mr. Wilson. Thanks Procol Harum for a lifetime of great music!

  • Thank you Maya! My final theme to end my days and nights. . . . . ..

  • anyone who knows the chords???

  • All I can say is - THAT'S HOW THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD SOUNDS. It is purely sound of perfection and beauty and music of my life....forever.

  • To damn bad that Fisher is not there anymore...

  • One of the best 'Repent' guitars I've ever heard ;-)

  • Grandi!

  • I wish to God that someday someone like Quentin Tarantino would drop this in a movie and the world would have a chance to hear what a freaking amazing thunderstorm of a song this is!

Gary Brooker & Matthew Fisher - Wow.

Yes, Whitehorn is good, but oh to hear Robin Trower weaving his magic through this once more would be divine...

  • I love this, thank you Maya ;-)

  • hats off to mr. Geoff Whitehorn who has won a well earned place on procol harum's new line up. Brooker's always showed a good taste on guitarists for the band...

  • Fisher has aged well.

  • such feeling! such passion! it just doesn't get any better than this!!! this is the power of a great band!

  • I agree, that intensity almost seem lost

in rock music today, I like to think Procol Harum took blues to a new height, classically as well as intellectually. This

peice still gives me a chill, very dramatic,

I never get tired of hearing it.

  • la ballavo quando ancora non esistevano le discoteche.....è un colpo al cuore....

  • Check out the Brzezicki beard. I've never been a fan of facial hair - until now!

  • @comelycumbrianwench heheee... ;-)

  • ain't he gorge...?

  • Great organ from Matthew Fisher. (old horses never die). One word tells all about Matthew: Wonderful. -:)

  • Pretty good version.......Great ending. I like Gary's comment on the drum fills 'Come on, the last bus is going!!!' Classic!

Check out the two versions I've uploaded.

  • A moment's silence and the opening thump thump thump thumps of Repent Walpurgis filled the room for the first time. I was struck by the organ tone immediately, then the blues tinged, classical motif, then the rolling thunder of BJ's drums into Robin's mind bending guitar section. It was all over for me at that point. Numbed by the auditory onslaught of the preceding five minutes and six seconds, I knew then ... at that very moment, that I was privy to a new era.

  • Matthew is the very best organ player!!

  • He is fantastic indeed. But you should have a listen to Peter Bardens in Camel. Especially on Lady Fantasy. He is fantastic as well. Also, John Evan in Jethro Tull, and Thjis van Leer in Focus are good organ players, but maybe not as good as Matthew Fisher ot Peter Bardens.

  • Mr. Fisher returns
