Sorry to hear about your flowers. Most of the ones in the video I filmed in Hawaii, but I have planted lots of hibiscus in S California and they do very well year round. I bought mine 3 for $10 at Home Depot a couple of years ago.

i just start buying some hibicus from LOwe's or OSH they starting carring them to replace few of them died over the winter in my drive way from 25 of them i planted last march/2010

beautiful flowers from march till NOv in my area ..but pain in the butt in winter time to might some die or not !
