I used to be a fan of the Call of Duty series until right after Black Ops. I chose to get BF3 over this and I never regretted that choice. But today, I decided to rent MW3 for the hell of it. And... it fucking sucks. The campaign is just you going form one large battle to the next with explosions. And the multiplayer is the inbred child of MW2 and Black Ops. Survival looks like a last minute add on as well. It's a shame that this game is raking in millions of dollars of profit.
Modern warfare 3 requires the mind of a 12 year old. Want a challenge? Go to GameStop and buy BF3. THEN you'll know a shooting game. Black Ops was decent because good players were rewarded for being good and in mw3 it just feels like noobs and good players are just as successful. It's sad because mw2 was just as bad and they didn't learn anything...
The only COD game I like is Black Ops. It's not full of noobs, the maps are AWESOME and no gun is overpowered. With MW3, EVERY FUCKING GUN IS OP. honestly the game wasn't that bad the first week it game out. Then all the bs started kicking in and the 12 year old noobs raided the game and made it unplayable. CAMPERS ARE AT AN ALL TIME HIGH.

I agree, my biggest regret is buying mw3 before bf3. I got mw3 and went home happy, loaded the game up, 2min later I went back to gamestop and got bf3, 30.00 trade in. Bf3 is better in multiplayer but not singleplayer. TDM in bf3 is the shit! O and what you pay for in mw3 elite u get for free in bf3. Hmm, no brainer!

People like the games, mkay. But the fact games like this have so little of anything new to offer, and slap on vastly overpriced DLC, is what sets standards for today's games and ruins them. We used to get full games, and didn't have to pay to unlock content that's already there, or should be there. Now we get shit like CoD that's an infectious disease, yet manchildren and teens keep falling for it.
Since they introduced HD gaming I don't think companies have been based on Gameplay so much. The freedom we have in most games has been greatly reduced in modern military shooters. I do agree with survival being the only good thing in MW3; it still retains freedom that is left in CoD.

mw3 is ok but what i don't understand people who say or are saying mw3 is the best COD game you most be uder the age of 18 to say that my favorite was mw2 but the most legit COD game was COD4 that was the most well balanced one in the franchise
MW3 promotes camping and those who don't camp aren't very skilled either...they just bring out a bigger gun or shoot more bullets than you and that's all that is needed to compete...the perks don't help much either.
I haven't played MW2 since I own a Wii, so I have no comment on that.
MW1 is balanced, while it is infested by high fire-rate noobs and/or Grenade Launcher Abusers, M16/G3/Snipers/MARKSMANSHIP can take them on quite easily.

Black Ops had the best campaign, the most original layout, Ice Cube and Gary Oldman, and Zombies. You cant beat that. Nothing bad about it. MW3 is MW2 but with a 3 instead of a 2 on the box.

What is so cool about the multiplayer? All you do is spray and pray until you die and respawn. You burn up 60 bucks for modern warfare 2 with a few new guns and crappier story.
I've always been curious as to who, exactly, praises the multiplayer. I don't think they are unaware of the issues regarding playerbase or security. Do reviewers AVOID talking about those because they don't want to alienate them? Or is it a paid review?

@123bigboom They did that on purpose to piss off quickscopers and montage producers. Recon is not about Sniping, it's not a Sniper class. In reality, Recon is the class that captures/defends points in stealth, and uses the Sniper scope to spot hiding enemies, making it easier for the Assault or Support classes to fight the battles for them.
Recon is not supposed to actually kill things, but help the other classes do it. That's what the Motion Sensor is for.
@123bigboom 1 sniper round would dessimate you no matter where it hits you. I agree with one shots killing someone. What I do not agree with is one person could die getting shot in the face but another person is invincible to it. That is the real issue.

imo MW2 is the best one of the newer COD's (meaning after mw) although I haven't played WAW. I enjoy playing MW2 and even BO online, but the community really sucks. Like my friend stated, the newer games (and especially MW3) was made for ADHD teen assholes who are drunk of energy drinks. Even if BF or MOH are kinda more realistic and better in many fields, I prefer COD over them just because of the controls and their smoothness. COD's suck but they are still worth playing. imo.

I remember when the only call of duty I played was cod4, and then one of my friends brought over mw2, I was blown away by that game because it was so much fun. I have around 16 days played on mw2. Then mw3 came out, and when I played it for the first time, I thought to myself that IW has to be kidding, they seriously did not change anything in the graphics or gameplay. I'm not going to buy mw3.
Wonder if the fact that Activision fired IW's two top guys, and then crapped on the rest of IW's dev team, has anything to with MW3 being a bit of a let-down.. Maybe the game is suffering b/c Activision now can only put 4th tier devs to work on the game...

Look at the changes between Dead Space 1 and Dead Space 2, for example. Dead Space 2 refined the original, fixed some of the movement, improved the graphics, added tons of new weapons, enemies, suits and equipment and had even added an awesome multiplayer addition. MW3 pretty much added Survival mode.
My favourite part about a new call of duty game being Realesed is that all the n00bs are going to the new game and leave gems like mw2 untouched ... But sadly hackers are coming . I got my account hacked , and it gave me tenth pristege and all the unlocks ... So not that bad , but yeah :p . Don't get me started about the hacked on mw1
I agree with many things Niko says, Battlefield 3 was better. The community is mature, it's not just teens that make fascist comments and little kids that threaten you and scream when they die. DICE did not do a service like "Elite" which is just ridiculous. The graphics are better too, the MW3 graphics engine is just CoD 4's engine with few updates, and more! So hold onto MW2 and don't buy it.

I got both MW3 and Battlefield 3 for Christmas and i much prefer MW3,thought the graphics were great and loved the campaign. (Im 31 so i come from a time where only the campaign matters). I thought Battlefield 3 was just boring and although 'some' levels looked nice the majority was just bland boring and didnt even look as good as Bad Company,then Bad Company 2 didnt look as good as Bad Company 1. Battlefield 3 was way over hyped it left me dissapointed.

In my opinion Mw2 could had been better then cod4, but MW2 had a few flaws. Turns out those flaws were huge. Black Ops was good, it was balanced in my opinion, but didn't bring that much new to the table. MW3 has really great potential too but the maps suck.

I found it incredibly annoying that I purchased this game and got:
A 3 hour campaign (at least it was 7 hours on Veteran)
A spec ops that is the same as in MW2
A multiplayer that is probably the worst designed ever, and is exactly the same as MW2
A survival mode that is incredibly dull since it's only 2-P at most

Gotta say, I generally hate OpTic, but will say that I agree with nearly everything Niko has said in the video. MW 3 is just an overpriced map pack for MW 2, and offers nothing new, and again, takes 50 steps backwards from the improvements TA TRIED to put into the series....again. The whole elite service is a joke, and a scam. $50 a year for what exactly? DICE offers Battlelog for free, with nearly the same things, and is actually better and more organized.

Black Ops had the best campaign, the most original layout, Ice Cube and Gary Oldman, and Zombies. You cant beat that. Nothing bad about it. MW3 is MW2 but with a 3 instead of a 2 on the box.

@123bigboom They did that on purpose to piss off quickscopers and montage producers. Recon is not about Sniping, it's not a Sniper class. In reality, Recon is the class that captures/defends points in stealth, and uses the Sniper scope to spot hiding enemies, making it easier for the Assault or Support classes to fight the battles for them.
Recon is not supposed to actually kill things, but help the other classes do it. That's what the Motion Sensor is for.
Basically, you played it wrong.

I finally bought this game just to say I gave it a chance. I wasted my money on this? What is so great about this abomination? The community? Rude!, Graphics? Unimpressive!, Every gun sounds like crap when fired, Spawning is broken beyond belief, dreadful hit detection. unrealistic knifing, bullets can't go through wood planks an inch thick, but will penetrate stone and concrete. The grenades suck, hackers central in this game, everyone runs around with a "Striker" which is broken as all hell.

imo MW2 is the best one of the newer COD's (meaning after mw) although I haven't played WAW. I enjoy playing MW2 and even BO online, but the community really sucks. Like my friend stated, the newer games (and especially MW3) was made for ADHD teen assholes who are drunk of energy drinks. Even if BF or MOH are kinda more realistic and better in many fields, I prefer COD over them just because of the controls and their smoothness. COD's suck but they are still worth playing. imo.

I remember when the only call of duty I played was cod4, and then one of my friends brought over mw2, I was blown away by that game because it was so much fun. I have around 16 days played on mw2. Then mw3 came out, and when I played it for the first time, I thought to myself that IW has to be kidding, they seriously did not change anything in the graphics or gameplay. I'm not going to buy mw3.

Look at the changes between Dead Space 1 and Dead Space 2, for example. Dead Space 2 refined the original, fixed some of the movement, improved the graphics, added tons of new weapons, enemies, suits and equipment and had even added an awesome multiplayer addition. MW3 pretty much added Survival mode.

I agree with many things Niko says, Battlefield 3 was better. The community is mature, it's not just teens that make fascist comments and little kids that threaten you and scream when they die. DICE did not do a service like "Elite" which is just ridiculous. The graphics are better too, the MW3 graphics engine is just CoD 4's engine with few updates, and more! So hold onto MW2 and don't buy it.

I got both MW3 and Battlefield 3 for Christmas and i much prefer MW3,thought the graphics were great and loved the campaign. (Im 31 so i come from a time where only the campaign matters). I thought Battlefield 3 was just boring and although 'some' levels looked nice the majority was just bland boring and didnt even look as good as Bad Company,then Bad Company 2 didnt look as good as Bad Company 1. Battlefield 3 was way over hyped it left me dissapointed.
