@mouldeck I built the drum synth - and 'hacked' the drum pads :) The toy drums already had the LED's mounted under the heads and a piezo element for the trigger. I just brought the trigger out to a jack and provided a way to mute the audio of the toy drum.

the real gem here is the Quad Bass ++ ... at first glance i wanted 2x PCB !!!
