Installation of Oracle 11g Personal Edition on Windows 7

during the install product section, just before it sstarts downlaoding the progress, i get a message stating Can't load library: C:\Users\d0m1nu5\AppData\Local­\Temp\OraInstall2011-10-06_04-­07-36PM\ext\bin\SetEnv.dll. Is this good?. I continued anyway.

Please help me.

I love it. the clue here is very helpful, I mean you mentioned that you have to extract the 2 zip files under the SAME database directory. that helped me through this installation.

@ranbir11 You are getting password error in the first window right? If that is the case uncheck "I wish to receive security updates via My Oracle Support". Then press next

for password:

1) it should be more than 8 letters

2) atleast one uppercase letter

3) atleast one numeric vale

i tried to install 11g release 2 but m getting error for password....is there any password recommendations by oracle???

@ranbir11 It asked me to enter a password during the installation process. I believe it creates two user names by default, SYS and SYSTEM.

@Arjun007ize I think Oracle wants you to have an upper and lower case letter in your password and also a number too. For example, Dennis248 would be an acceptable password I believe.
