  • Heard how nice you were in person. Rest in peace, Carole.

  • God bless you Carol!!!

  • Fabulous pics and stunning music! Love it xxxx

  • Of all the women who have ever graced Hollywood, this is the most beautiful one. Her beauty is unmatched. Did more for the troops in WWII than any other star. It is too bad that she never found the happiness that she deserved.

  • she wus a good person, never should have died!

  • wonderful woman...I've also seen others of your clips and all those ladies are magnificent....they fascinate me,especially rita hayworth, audrey, carole lombard, carole landis, veronica lake, marilyn, hedy lamarr, gene tierney, vivien leigh...oh,all of them...thank you so much....and please, try to do some with alexis smith and brenda marshall also

  • Well, my friend. You are in luck! Alexis Smith will appear next week on June 02. Brenda Marshall is a new name to me so I will put her on my list of future projects. Thank you and I hope you continue to enjoy my 'Movie Legends' series. BAZ

  • She didn't committ suicide she was killed.

  • The fact is Carole Landis and Marilyn Monroe had a lot in common. Similar beauty, tragic life and suicides etc.

  • This beautiful music fits Carole Landis so well. It's such a heartbreak that she had such a horrible life. I read several reports that stated she committed suicide but not just over Rex Harrison;it was a multitude of heartbreak over the years.

  • Even worse, Landis was plagued by depression and committed suicide when she as only 29 years old. That's far too young for her to give up on life. Same thing for the beautiful Veronica Lake, who drank herself into poverty and an early death (age 50). Very nice tribute here, thanks for posting.

  • Loretta Young had a daughter for clark Gable

to bad Carole Landis and Marilyn comitted suside They don't make then like that anymore.

  • Thank you so much!

Looking forward to your second Carole video.

She was an incredibly beautiful lady.

I see you are into old Hollywood. Do you have a favourite star or movie from that wonderful era?

  • I love them all! But if I had to choose Greta Garbo would be at the top, mainly because of her air of mystery. Mind you, I have been working on a video THE YOUNG LUCILLE BALL recently, and she was absolutely stunning!...and there's Rita Hayworth...and there's Ann Sheridan.....Ava Gardner, Sophie Loren...as I said, I love them all!!

  • I know what you mean! It is hard to pick anyone out. There were a lot of talented beautiful people in the movies back then.

The other day I watched "Born to be Bad" with Loretta Young. Her beauty was almost shocking, I was speechless.

Thanks for highlighting all the stars in your videos. They all deserve an appreciative audience today.

  • Yes, Loretta Young was a real beauty! Such a pretty face. I have every intention of producing a REPRISE edition of MOVIE LEGENDS for Loretta in the future with all new images.

  • i love most of them but i love bardot first , why dont you do atribute to Jeanne Moreau she is unique , fantastic and she still around i dont like sophia loren maybe is one of the few i dislike

  • Merci Brigitte. J'ajouterai Jeanne Moreau à ma liste bien que je ne pense pas qu'elle est allée à Hollywood. Je sais qu'elle était très célèbre en France.

  • merci basil

  • The title of the first track is 'Lisbon Antigua' played by Mantovani and his Orchestra. Hope you liked the video! I will be releasing a second tribute titled MOVIE LEGENDS - CAROLE LANDIS (REPRISE) on Feb 11th!

  • Could you tell me the name of the first song and the artist? I like it very much...Thank you.

  • She was very beautiful and talented. It's a shame such a short life and she ended it abruptly. She does remind of Lana Turner. Why was she called The Ping Girl?

  • Carole protested strongly and publicly against the nonsensical nickname 'Ping Girl' (apparently shory for "Purring") coined by the Hal Roach publicist Frank Seltzer in April 1940. Thankyou for subscribing to my Channel.

  • In my opinion basilnelson, Carole Landis was THE most beautiful leading lady of Hollywoods golden era. Her suicide at 29 years of age was tragic, & she surely would have become an even bigger star had she not taken her own life. Interesting your comment on her nickname "Ping Girl", which i did not know. Her beauty certainly has me purring.

  • She was very pretty, modest, and photogenic. Lovely tribute. I agree with the question everyone else is asking ~ why don't we see female actresses of this caliber today? From the photos, it does look like she shared the screen with a few leading men in her brief career, and I admire the poses, they were very flattering !

  • Sadly we have allowed unflattering morality to be

portrayed on screen` along with unflattering hair

styles and fashion, gone are the codes of conduct!

these female had greter self respect and TALENT.

  • Another fallen Star* that never got a chance to

shine before the world, surely she could have!

and she knew it` but HollyWood was,nt always

fare even to the farest of Beauties. Carole Landis

you left us with a tragic end` thankyou for leaving

    us your Beautiful memory.

    Pierre

  • what happen to her please tell ? ty

  • she commited suicide, she overdosed on sleeping pills. I actually have a picture of her found dead in her kitchen. It's in a book that I bought about the old actors who have passed away and it showed her dead.
