This is so funny. I used to sit and watch this scene on the DVD over and over again. The look on Colin Hank's face when his teacher steers the conversation to Gweneth Paltrow is priceless.

Anybody notice how every movie that Mike White is in, he plays a nerdy loser? I mean he losses his Girlfriend in Stepford Wives, His girlfriend is a bitch who rules his life in School of Rock and in Zombieland, He not only gets swindled by girl, he gets killed by a zombie too. Seriously, this guy needs to in a movie where he is the hero and gets the girl of his dreams. He certainly deserves one.

I dont get it. I watched this movie twice, trying to give it a second chance. I didnt laugh once. I dont even find this scene funny. This movie was horribly boring in my opinion. I really like the cast members, I love Jack Black and Colin Hanks, I just think the writers of this movie did a horrible job, and this movie is wayyy overated!!

Laughed so hard when I saw this scene for the first time. Most of the time I agree with the makers in their choice on which scenes to keep and which to dump. But I would have kept this one in the movie at all costs.

@jensman67 This scene was never actually meant to be in the movie. Notice that it's a completely different classroom from the one in the film. This was put together after the movie had already been finished. Mike White talks about it somewhere on the DVD, maybe in the commentary track. He basically says he wanted to try something different and produce a series of trailers that consisted of original material, rather than doing the standard "showing clips from the movie" style.
