when they were leaving the venue some guys who had vampire weekend cd's and gear were tryig to get them to sign it(really old fat white guys) and rostam got upset and told them no and i got in between them and was trying to get these guys back(they were like paparizzi in the way they were annoying) and they started screaming that I couldn't touch them and called the police..the police came over and told them to go away ha ha ha!!!

I worked at that venue during this event..I set up for this interview....I was security letting the bands in through the back door..I hung out with them and one of their friends that was touring with them from columbia...they had 2 agents a day to day agent who was fine as hell and she was flirty with me lol...and their main agent from william morris who is the same agent who discovered nirvana and represents the white stripes, and foo fighters i hung out with him and got his info before he left

i wouldnt say theyre being boring, maybe not eccentric or extremely exciting but if u want a boring interview watch a strokes one... ive seen plenty of vampire weekend interviews where theyre full of jokes and whatever

Come on! They are normal people doing outsatnding music! What kind of interview do you except from them? I really like those guys. I think they are very down to earth and laidback. Their album is amazing. I talked to Ezra after one of their shows and he was very cool and friendly... So, just give them a break and enjoy their album, and their great performances.

I think Vampire Weekend are brilliant. They seem to be quite laid back guys and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. They put on a great show when they perform and Ezra is full of energy. I don't think they need to put on a show as such in interviews. This may come across as false.

Agree 100% with jbricandy. Definitley, they are painfully boring. And kind of offensive to their U.S. fans here. I still love their music but thats as far as that goes.

Yeah, I agree. They give a really unenthusiastic interview here. If they're not interested in being interesting to the fans, then maybe they should f off and do another job. 'People like better music in the UK' 'cause they've done well there? Pretty arrogant. I really like their music but they need to buck their ideas up when they talk to the media.
