I remember this game, Zac was one of my favorite tigers and any SEC game is a rivalry game in my eyes many players would have pushed him off but Rodney has a good character and a good heart
Played football wit Rodney Pop warner and everything bro making it and have overcome a lot, Good heart and everything, Humble as well. Bro made it and is actually doing something positive. This act of kindness is rare cause the Rodney I know would have been quick to push anyone off him after he got tackled. This guy has really grew up and became a Man, he was right God told him that he not used to being praised for things but this will follow him for life. Bro be blessed
Thank God he's OK. I'm an Alabama fan, but my rivalry is not that deep for anything. I don't want to see anyone get killed or hurt or paralyzed for any game.
Rods one of my best friends. we played in high school together. i asked Rod bout it an he said zac wasn't movin. and hes used to people getting up on their own. when he didnt move he knew somthing was wrong. Rod is usually an aggressive guy on the field. God had to be with Rodney on that day, tellin him not to move..
@Wilks44Milk - wow ... how neat that you and Rod are best friends. It is a GREAT story for all age groups ... it speaks about paying attention to that "still small Voice" our LORD sends our way ... and the wisdom of Rod to listen and simply obey that voice to remain still. When you ever speak to Rod again, tell him he has my utmost respect (I'm an old Nana type btw). Thank you Wilks... for taking the time to post this note for me to enjoy. Liz
God, thank you for Rodney Scott! You have a special plan for everyone and this is Rodneys story. Thank you for telling him not to move and thank you for letting him have the faith in you to save Zacs life. Thank you for Zac also lord he is a great football player and everyone thanks you everyday for saving Zac and letting him come back and play football.
@ogbalr Agree completely. Thank you God for telling Rodney not to move, and thank you Rodney for listening to him! This is what sports is all about...sportsmanship
war eagle. i follow zac on twitter and every single day he tweets and says "thank you GOd for waking me up." i odn't understand how after hearing these crazy stories like this, these miracles people can still believe there is no God. so awesome. gives me chills ! thank you so much for putting this up!
@whatitisyo0506 - I usually do not make public what I upload on YouTube, but THIS one was so moving and we need HEROES ... these two young men rank up there as heroes. I am so pleased this shot clip is honoring such fine young men who are not ashamed to give GOD the honor due Him. Thanks for blessing ME "whatitlsyo..." I am a Nanny who still loves young people and love to catch them when they are doing stuff well. :-)
@elizcc that is awesome ! need more people like you in the world to be bold and put real stuff out there like this. my generation is falling to pieces. wish there was something morer i could do. thanks so much for the encouragement, GOD BLESS !
@whatitisyo0506 Do you want an honest answer to your question:"i odn't understand how after hearing these crazy stories like this, these miracles people can still believe there is no God"?It is because God works his magic on one person every other year, what about the billions of other people? There are people suffering out in the streets every day, there is war, famine, and cruelty going on every single day, there are deserving people that need something from the lord and they get a slap to the face
@Kate: I thought this story was too GREAT not to share it here and on FB. I know it's been all over the web, but I missed it the first time, so I'm thinking I am not alone. We need more GOOD stories such as this one.

This reminds me a lot of the Chucky Mullins story. Fortunately, this one has a MUCH better ending. Hotty Toddy.
