We were just in Galveston as of last week and would have loved to have actually seen that. We only got to see a couple of ppl with surf boards "trying" to surf around the Flagship hotel and where the Hooters used to be... I really wish I would have known about all this before going.. that would have been one hellova day!!

Unless there's a hurricane coming, it seems that these are the best "waves" you'll get. I lived in Pearland TX closer to Texas City, and now I"m in Bay Area Cali. The waves out here are much MUCH Better than TX.

From around sept til march texas actually has ridable surf quite often. Nothing as grand as California or even Florida East coast but ridable and fun.

These guys where just out doing what surfers do. Having fun. LOL.
