I went from tacna to cusco via arequipa by bus (same as the lite blue one in this clip). Honestly im not suprised at this, it was the scariest 20 hours of my life, the drivers are fuckn nuts, pushing the speeds to the limit, double decker bus with tyres screching thru corners with 200-300meter drops,hairpins on the wrong side of the road. It was insane. We heard flying was worse tho..........

The government of Peru has the biggest international reserves of its history. But it will never invest in their poorest regions like Cusco (spelled with S not Z) because they are racist creole people who care little or nothing about our Indigenous communities. There is not a decent road infrastructure or any safety control system in most Peruvian regions outside of Lima.

@PeruanistaBlog there are no deacent roads is because indigenous comunities, each time they have a problem the put GIANT ROCKS all over the highway... by example, 15/08/2007. 10 trucks were sent to cañete with water, food, medicines, etc.. 7 WERE HIGHJACKED!... there is a good reason why we are loosing hope of our provinces. They go for the "easy money". there are great exceptions (arequipa, piura, tacna, tumbes)
