Nice piece of music. When did you get your Lowden? I got mine at Wildwood too. Struggled mightily between the cedar and spruce- ended up with the spruce and cutaway.
I got to tour round one of the lowden factories a few years ago and at the end they let me loose in the show room to try their guitars and I have to say they are the BEST sounding guitars I have ever heard and having heard and played so many guitars in my time I do not make that statment litely , go and try for your self you will not regret it .
There is a guitar shop named Wildwood Music (In Ohio). I spent about a whole day there trying different guitars. This was the one I chose because the sound just seemed to fly out it. Big sound! It is bright, clear, and has definition. It has a cedar top, which perhaps sounded more familiar to me because I used to be a classical player. Also, it just felt right in my hands!
I couldnt afford it even it was on a Discount Sale.
I cannot remember which model it was but it was one of those Creamy Maple Jumbo Boxy Oak finished. I can still remember the first time I lay my hands on a LOWDEN, takes my breath away as I begin to work the strings. 15 years has past I can still recall how it taste. Splendid.
nice! good playin and nice guitar. Lowden vs Avalon, what do you guys rekon. check out the Avalon L320CMB cutaway bevel jumbo, spruce - looks brilliant!
Sounds great. Ive got a Lowden O32, sikta and spruce. Saving for an F style cedar top. Not sure whether to go for rosewood, mahogany or walnut back and sides. Tried a lot of Martins and Taylors, they r great but keep coming back to Lowdens, very special guitars.
Sounds Great! Iv'e got an O32, Rosewood and Sikta. Love it! Maybe gonna save for a F style cedar top Lowden too. Not sure wether to go for the rosewood or mahogany back and sides, maybe even walnut. Tried alot of Martins and Taylors but keep coming back to Lowdens
F 10s are very rare. I have an O10 and have played other f models but never an F10. Would love your opinion of the difference. Seems to me that the Os are more delicate and sensitve. and the Fs are better for more aggresive playing. you agree?
Lovely playing - glad you are enjoying the instrument. A vintage shop I worked in was blessed with a few Lowdens and they were great fun to play - especially with a drop D.
unusually these guitars sound great "out of the box",taylors are the same, martins and gibsons take years to sound this good!( is this an irish made version?
Yes, it's a piece I've been kicking around for the last few months. I'm hoping to develop it a bit more. I just played a little bit here to demonstrate the guitar.

Sounds great. I have a Lowden F10, I should post a vid sometime. Used to have a 010 too, but I sold it a few years back. Really wish I hadn't now.

I didn't know F10s were rare! I sold mine recently, didn't get a great deal for it to be honest. I have an S23 now, beautiful little guitar.

Martins and Gibsons have excellent fresh tone - particularly those guitars with forward shifted bracing. See for yourself at my channel.

I have one just like this, they are lovely guitars, so unique in sound. Almost seems like they were meant to be picked, not strummed.
