@NOmeansnoFAN I have been into Rollins for quite a while and was confused at first as to why he does USO shows and the like. I have seen him live twice and listened to lots of his stuff on the internet. It seems to me that he is looking a all sides of the issues and commenting on them. His opinion is like it or not out there and not subject to any corporations approval or consent. I could see you not agreeing but talentless hack? Does Greg Ginn think he is? Nomeansno rule though

@stubobmac hack? yes. His writing style is that of a 15 yr old boy. Talentless? yes he is supposedly a musician, but without the skilled people around him, he has nothing but rally the troops type spoken word. For entertaining spoken word I would take Biafra any day, even though I find the whole approach, listening to spoken word when it could all be done by the respective bands,as songs, irritating.
I know nothing of Ginn's feelings towards Rollins.

You have a reading comprehension issue! Ginn left the band...which means there was a band (for a few minutes) after he left. THEN they broke up. It is a simple read if you look it up. I don't purchase music anymore. I support bands by going and seeing them play. That is where the enjoyment is, at live shows.

Ginn wrote all the music and it was his band. Rollins had nothing to give up on so he started a new band. It's pretty simple.
And I don't know why you think black flag were some bastion for punk ideals because they weren't at all. They're weren't a political or an anti-establishment band. So your whole sellout accusation fails.
