Wow, they really liked that shot of the jaguar or cheetah or whatever getting knocked over. I think they showed that about five times or so. I saw this movie when I was around six years old, and it scared the crap out of me. I thought I dreamed it, but finally found it again. This show did come on FOX at one time, but I don't think they had much to do with its creation. I like the fact that we don't find out much here. It makes an interesting movie on its own, even though it was a pilot.

@Plotspider I noticed that, as well. ;-) Yeah, it is very interesting, but there were times when I'd (almost) have killed to know how this very movie in particular was supposed to be continued. ;-)

@BleuDeQ I suspect we were meant to find out who and why people were making robot copies of random civilians. I just loved the fact that 'father' or whoever told the hero, point blank, "it's none of your business" instead of going on a monologue. I know they did that for the pilot's sake, but it works. It messes with one's head that way.

@BleuDeQ It has something to do with the fact that Fox pulled the plug on Terminator, the series, and Firefly. I also think this never became a series at all.

Not entirely true... the movie couldn't be more 80s, but the comment during the credit was a broadcast ad of Channel 5 in 1996 or 1997. ;-)

Habe grad nach Annhilator gegoogelt, mein Vater hatte diesen Film anfang der 90er auf Video-Kasette aufgenommen.

Da habe ich gleich mal ne Frage! Hast du diesen Film mit deutscher Synchro?

Ja, den hab ich auf einer Original-VHS in nicht allzu guter Qualität, aber er ist da auf Deutsch.

Ich muss allerdings sagen, dass die deutsche Synchro ziemlich bescheiden ist.

Yeah it's these feelings that are responsible for getting connected and stuck respectively to something. In this case to a movie or a piece of music.

"Annihilator" makes me feel really "80s" again. :-)

For the same reason I've been looking for another movie for years. In German it's called "Redwing - Flucht vor den schwarzen Droiden". The original title was "Starship" / "Lorca and the Outlaws".
