I disagree. Saw them in Cardiff and i think this is one of the only 'BIG' gigs I've been to where I didn't feel like I was just watching a DVD. The screen was IMMENSE and crystal clear, and just watching the whole show with the lights and everything else was a spectacle in itself! :-)

This remixed version is much better for a live setting, especially in a big stadium. It uses the stage, lights, and screen to full effect.

The original is much better for the album though. It would sound strange to have this version in place of it, because it's so different sounding from the rest of No Line. I'm glad they did each in their correct spots.

I was very indifferent about the album. I had great moments but it also had weak ones. On the record this was one of the weaker moments, but this is a great version. The lyrics actually fit the mood of the song more. This really makes me look forward to seeing them on the 17th of September.

Moreover, the guitar and rhythm section from 4:30 on sounds very much like "Run like hell" by Pink Floyd, but that's a pretty good song to sample!

The version the band are playing is Redanka's 'Kick The Darkness' vocal mix, which will be released as a part of the promo/single package - only the last '45 secs is taken from the Dirty South remix so it's a bit of a 'mash-up' but the majority is the aformentioned Redanka remix.

The song will always be the song, but how refreshing and daring is it for a band like U2 to attempt a performance like this?

Give it 6 or 7 shows and this will rock the house more than it does already!!!
