I love mozart and didn't even know he composed for the organ, and while it is not my favorite medium, it surely shows mozart could make music with a washing machine if he wanted. Music was in his DNA.
this piece is the darkest that Mozart wrote (in my opinion) all the other minor (key) works are also amazing (K. 491, K. 466, K. 457) but this one's just ass kicking... it's like mozart's saying "fuck you all!"... just unbelievable... every time i here this it gives me the creeps... THANK YOU MOZART!!! YOU WERE THE BEST FUCKING COMPOSER EVER!!! (I'm sorry for posting this twice :D)

Oh and to be clear I meant the one at like 7:50 ish that turns into a double or triple fugue not the finale one (even though that one is also very nice).
It's in a little-known piece such as this, something written late in his life for a mechanical clock organ, that the essence and genius of Mozart is best revealed.

hm das stück hier kv 608 ist schon unter den orgelstücken für die uhr gelistet, aber ich vermute schon, dass er in dem brief das stück hier beschreibt (es gibt noch einen andren brief aus dem zeitraum, welcher sich offensichtlich auf kv 594 bezieht ... ), da erstens die daten ungefähr zusammenfallen würden, zweitens, weil das thema aus kv 399 stammt (ouvertüre der piano-suite) also würde egtl alles zu einer improvisation passen, und drittens ist das letzte allegro eine doppelfuge

Wohooo, great! Some time ago, I tried to learn this piece, but it's (for me) unplayable... So, this organist is a killer! Or Master :-). When you know the score, this tempo and preciseness is unbelievable.
I don't hear this piece often enough. In fact I've never heard it played "live" at a recital with the reason being (I think)--it's too difficult for most organists to play. I get the impression Mozart wrote it to show off his own performance prowess and it was not purely the product of artistic inspiration-except the last portion-perhaps.

At about 1:57 ish there is a phase among all the counterpoint that sound like a chopin nocturne. I guess chopin was a mozart fan.

naja ich kann natürlcih letztlich nicht beweisen, dass es sich wirklich so verhält, wie ich vermute
deswegen bleibt es eine these.

auf jedenfall ist es überragend im klang

Mozart really wrote this for a mechanical organ and I guess from that one could say that a machine is not capable of artistic inspiriation.
But it remains one of the greatest organ pieces along with Bach, Widor.

You should check out the version of it played on the Hazel Wright Organ fro the 25th anniversary! Pardini does and EXCEPTIONAL job! It's beautiful!
