@TrevorMFT Actually, the mic was placed on the lounge next to my high-hat, which is why the sound is much louder near that area. The quality would improve alot if it was overhead, or even a meter or so in front of the kit. Also, it would sound alot better with better cymbals, mine are terrible...
ive heard overhead works but i havent tried it yet

sweet before we go to a studio my bands doing the same thing it does have a good sound. did you just hang the mic overhead?
