  • im pretty sure the sti's speedometer goes up to 160 mph not 140, correct me if im wrong

  • Fuck!!!

  • you're shortshifting real bad.. times would improve a lot if you revved it out more.

  • If you saw the dynograph for this motor, you would know why. Having WRX EJ20 cylinder heads on it gives us higher compression, but the top-end HP suffers. I have put all the dyno data into a thrust calculator that determines the best shift points for the motor.

  • very nice.. the 6 speed goes through the gears so quickly!

  • yeah cause the ratio is closer

  • LOVELY!

  • how much did the car weigh? street car? Sounds good!

  • Approx. 2,850lbs with a 6-point roll bar. It is a road-legal car.

  • niiiice!!!

  • Ok awsome, is the Sti 6 speed the same? No real modifications needed?

  • Nice, a bit of a question, I plan on trying to get my hands on a 2002 Impreza WRX non sti. Will the cosworth 2.5L or any other 2.5L short block engine bolt right into the 2.0L WRX Impreza? Will I need the 6 speed from the Sti to do the swap? And btw that is one mean ass subie ya got there lol, mean acceleration. o_O

  • The 2.5L and 2.0L are interchangeable. We didn't even need to modify our older Impreza to install a 2.5L (just had to install the correct wiring harness). The STi 6-speed is not required, but it's much stronger than the 5-speed.
