Sorry that happened to you! I had someone post a neg. comment on my stallions first ride called Stallions first ride by 15 year old. When I went to their channel, it had your video on there so I thought you were the one that posted the neg. comment. It takes time and you will get there, but older horses are a bit harder and sometimes take more time! If you get your horse desensitized really well for at least a week and do a thorough job, you will be able to ride without a buck. good luck!
After watching your video, I see why you had trouble believing how well my horse did his first ride. I would do at least a week of groundwork with your horse to help him trust you and get over his fear. Now that he has bucked like that, it will be harder to train him without him bucking again. We use Clinton Anderson methods to train ALL of our horses. If you do your groundwork properly, the horse should NEVER buck on his first ride.
what people dont realize, it is actually completely different then breaking a new baby... 2-3 once they get older they are used to living "wild" and thats what they know...
@KatiexKIRA but you all are pretty damn stupid. you need to take it slow.... start with saddle pad... get used to it then put the saddle on and TIGHTEN IT!!!!!!!!!!!
wow what a dumb ass... befor saddle breaking the horse he needs to learn how to make sure that the saddle will stay on. u could of caused a even bigger reck . i think his brain is more stupid and dumb than smart............... :)
You really need to desensitize her to the saddle and stuff first. You can't just put it on her. You have to let her sniff it, then put it half way on, and take it off. then when she's comfortable with that, put it on and off on and off and repeat this till she is comfortable.
Then the bucking wouldn't really happen. My horse only bucked once and that was 20 mins after I got on him and we were just walking around then he bucked out of no where.
They are crocs btw there's alot of things I would have done different that I didn't know at the time I'm trying to learn as much as I can that's why I posted the video to get tips but all I'm getting is trash talk you know but thank you she is beautiful.
one question... why are you wearing flip flops while "training" a horse? do you not like your toes? and always just sit the saddle on and take it off several times befor cinching it up get her use to the idea of it.

If the saddle fell like that it def. def. def. wasn't tight enough and that's very dangerous to her, though I'm sure you know that. I hope she didn't get hurt from that. What is the progress on her now?
@RiderNDancer1 Well before you point the finger and call someone else stupid, make sure your hands are clean. You're the one who said "swared". That's not a word. It's swore.
@HoldYourHorses26 Big deal. Still you think its gunna help yelling and stuff? All I'm saying is you (SWORE) at her. Is that really gunna help? I ant starting stuff i'm just saying.........
Yea I eased the pad on her let her smell the saddle that day and did the rope as a girth the other day and she was fine with it. It just takes time I can throw the pad on her like you would a older horse
what ive learned is to take it slow let her smell it first show her that it wont hurt her.then just ease it on her dont just throw it up on her like most ppl.also use a longer lead but u already know too.also how i got my horse back use to the saddle was i put a horse blanket on him and then put a rope around him tight to represent a girth on a saddle saddle but without all the weight and stuff to spoke him.he bucked at first but then he got use to it do that a couple times.
Yea I have one just don't use it cause a go from half draft to arabian to her and that's my moms saddle but I got her to take the pad fine I'm about to put the saddle on for take two.
thats wat i have on my saddle now.my horse isnt broke though cuz he is terrified of the saddle now.after 5 year of working with him im able to get it on him now but he wont let me do it when he is tied up.
my horse did that b4 but he was tied to a tree ring in a tree.the saddle slide under him and he freaked he broke the ring in the tree that was meant for horses and hoped to fences.the saddle was tore up pretty bad and he busted his two front teeth luckly it was his baby teeth still in.

Wow that's crazy good thing it was the baby teeth. I think a breastcollar would be a good idea so it won't get under that's what I'm going to do

Yea we should've had a longer rope it went around her leg so it couldn't have been grabed. She was doing so good we let our guard down
dirtflrt 1 year ago
dude u should have grabbed the rope sooner its not the horses fault so he didnt have to call her that
