Whether it is or it is not the first time this guy took the test really is beyond the point. This test is flawed. The answer to 36 doesn't respect the "90°-180° Rule".
And the test doesn't even ask you your age!
Not that IQ test mean anything, really.
As Boris Sidis (William J. Sidis' dad) "Intelligence tests are pedantic and grossly misleading". Amen, brother.
@UbermenschWill "As Boris Sidis..." Well, I pondered on this statement 10 years ago, and felt like you do. But on the other hand I was asking myself, if by any chance Billy didn't perform too well on it (let's presume it's unlikely, though possibly, that the son of prominent psychiatrist didn't come across IQ test), like f.e. presumably Poincare didn't.
@mujotomi Well, it is possible. We all know Billy's 254 I.Q. was ridiculous, since his mother inflated her son's achievements all the time. He was indeed smart, though no one truly knows hi I.Q..
However, I have to say that most psychiatrists despise I.Q. Testing. It is only given credit by psychologist (who aren't M.D.s).
Maybe Billy flunked his test (as allegedly Poincarè did), or maybe Boris simply believe a number cannot express one person's true intelligence.
@mujotomi The most curious aspect about I.Q. Testing is that those who scored>170 never managed to accomplish much.
Most people can't seem to accept that Feynman only managed to get 124, Shockley 126... They claim that those guys actually flunked their tests on puropose (?) and that their I.Q. Scores were really>200.
The human mind is way too complex to be defined by a number.
Solving a series of tests in a given aount of time doesn't prove you're smart, it only proves you're quick.
This is fake, if you think about it, you don't even have enough time to look over at least 4 of the images in the amount of time this guy gets the answer. Honestly it looks like he took this 50 times and just remembered the answer by how the images look.
@theHamamouseclick Of course. No human can (at least with serious intention) solve it in 3 and so minutes. Maybe he only wanted to show his answers in quicker way.
Ok questions are not that hard but it's impressive to think that there is people able to solve it that fast ! I think the time is important to test the IQ.
@MLevistone its probably not his first time taking the test. people who can solve these anwers that wouldnt waste their time on youtube. beside if IQ could test ego this person would probably have an IQ of 200
@BadassBigBoss Of course, I've considered this possibility for THIS guy. I'm talking about very few people who are able to solve it almost as fast as him. Also it's not amazing that the are people who can't read/understand sentences properly.
@RSSDFTW of course i know!! i scored the maximum score, which means all my choices were 100% correct!? and i was not guessing, for each question, i have a strong logical explanation.
So you couldn't get 29 because you thought you were right and didn't try to find the answer...but at least you knew that you didn't know the answer to 39...now I wonder how many you really did get right when you first tried to do it. Why do you people post videos like that? heres better question...Why am I watching this video? It isn't your real IQ :) take real IQ test
@LexieDeaves yeah, you are right...this is not real IQ test,it doesn't show us the real IQ we have...so,i will listen to you and take the real IQ test..thanks man :)
When the shapes are combined either horizontally or vertically, the lines that the two shapes have in common are removed, as seen in the resulting figures.
#39 - at the start of a row all the xs turn to circles, the triangles turn to xs, and the circles turn to triangles. Then the first two columns shift one column over to the right. The new first column is the third column shifted to the right and wrapped around, but this time the column has been moved down one.row and wrapped around. At the end of a row everything rotates to the right.
@NatSci ohh. all this is really just math isnt it? i mean they have symmetric difference transformations and reflections and additions, etc.
what about #25 then? is that just that they want ya to rock the ball with the interior black dot back and forth or is there some deeper explanation that im missing?
@mcoke83 Nu. 25 - Answer is B. Dot moves clockwise along each row and anti-clockwise down each column. Also, there are two dots of the same colour - black or white - in each row AND each column.
@NatSci Oh or the dot always moves clockwise (starting with top left and proceeding to bottom right) and alternates color in sets of 2. Simpler explanation except the lack of two balls with black dots to begin with kinda throws it off.
@KoreaRwkz 32 : look at each image as 4 lines the same size. Looking horizontally only one line moves at a time to make the next shape. 35: The center line is a mirror. By looking at the top row you can better see what the 3rd row will be. 36: There are 3 sizes of blocks and 3 different colors. That mean there are only 9 different combination of color and size combination. Look at the position as well.
@KoreaRwkz 37: Not a clue. This one has me stumped. 38: The arrows stretch the shape in the same direction. You have to combined the two shapes and the effects of the arrows.
After starring at it for 10 minutes, 37 is H. Every round one black box appears (diagonally) and both circles move to the right and whenever they hit a black square they're invisible for the round and change color the next round.
@CarboneCZ The arrow tells you were to change direction the first arrow is pointing up so the shape has to stay up the second arrow has two but it goes sides ways go so the last arrow is pointing down so the lat shape must be opposite side ways (sorry if explanation is bad easier to see than to explain)
@Ko252 Yeah. My question wasn't literal. I was just implying that you're smart. Up till now, the highest score I can get on that IQ test is 135 but I stole a couple of answers that I haven't yet been able to understand like 34,37,38. And question 39 is really tough. I don't think anyone has posted why its answer should be so.
@KoreaRwkz Nah. I have taken a lot of Iq-tests, and it is simple practice for my case. As far as I can see, I didnt solve 39. But the answer has been posted by @cpkeysar:explain:
in every ROW, every X turns into O, O to ^ and ^ to X (^ means trinagle). at the end of the row, EVERYTHING rotate to the right. see? TRY IT! IT WORKS!
@Preeminence21 No, I don't. But you can try reading the comments. Some people did explain some of the questions in one of the videos I watched. But I don't have the link to that video.
@KoreaRwkz I also took 135 at this iq test but I understood the question nr 39. Look upside down and you will see how the some of the triangles move in the position of some x-es or circles and the circles or x-es go in the former position of those triangles and so on.
Chess and math learned me that when you come to no logical answer you have to think out of the box... in different ways.
@KoreaRwkz Question 39 is easy after you note the rows in each square that contain one of each shape. After you do so you will see "L" and "T" formations. There is only one answer that does the same thing. The Question I cannot figure out is question 37.
@VoltageLP I'm not sure I've ever come across a question like this before, where a third of the information is irrelevant. This is not a fair question, in my opinion.
In the first row, the arrow in the middle pointing upward enlarges the shape on the left but doesn't change its orientation. In the third row, the arrow in the middle pointing to the right enlarges the shape on the left and rotates it 45 degrees clockwise. What does the information in the second row add to the question?
@NatSci It is redundant because you can arrive at the correct answer without using the second row. However, if the location of the black portion on the lower left shape was reversed (on the bottom) you would end up with the wrong shape (d) if you simply grew it. It isn't so much that it adds any critical information for solving the puzzle, as that it provides a logical transition. It just happens to be a transition that doesnt matter.
@NatSci I also find the arrow directions kind of counterintuitive. You clearly don't simply grow the shape in the direction of the arrow, because then the bottom right shape would be a slanted rectangle. So instead take an alternative explanation and assume that the arrow also represents the degree of rotation. Then the bottom left shape is rotated by 45 deg, which is fine. But then the top right doesn't work because a 90 deg rotation would give you an upside down version of the top right shape.
the 29 was the e not the a...this is a pretty easy test but i can clearly that you cheated...and yet you don't even accurated all the right answers...i made that test in less than 30 minutes with a iq higher than 145 and i don't think im a genius
Nope, this's a pretty accurate IQ test. But in my opinion, Iq tests over the net aren't that reliable. This test starts out easy but gets a little more difficult. Besides, this guy probably memorized the answers.
@CastorinProduction Imagine that there are "downward slopes" going to the left and too the right - and that this pattern continues to the left and too the right. Which of the slopes going to the left the "ball" is on decides what shape it has, and which of the "slopes" going too the left it's on decides which direction the ball/shape is turned.
You messed up on 29, the answer is E. That's why you're only getting 143, if you chose e on 29 it would of said your IQ is greater than 145, that's what i got. Good job by the way, I used you to get the ones i couldn't lol
in every ROW, every X turns into O, O to ^ and ^ to X (^ means trinagle). at the end of the row, EVERYTHING rotate to the right. see? TRY IT! IT WORKS!
36: If you devide these into 3-box pairs, those standing staight, those turned to left and finally those turned to right, you will see that it misses a box turned to left. All of the colours have 3-colour sqaure, except black, and the light-one has been longest and middle, but not shortest. =F
this was not the first time, questions 6,7,8,9,10 took him 10 seconds than he realized he is bit too fast left 5 seconds for 11, which was pretty easy. :)
Hi again, I thought it was important to mention to you guys that I did get 140 without cheating. Also I remember a psychologist friend of mine telling me that getting a high score and a fast time for this test isnt good, almost like a sign of problems. A very good score is 120 or higher and knowing that youre not able to solve random static noise on a blank TV channel. Think of the movie, A Beautiful Mind.

you know, it's not so difficoult to obtain a 140 or higher score, the point is theese kind of iq test are really overrated as difficoulty. they are much easier than people tend to believe. More, they are nothing more than games. Nothing to take seriously. The other point is psychologists are all crazy people with dumb sentences, never trust one of them, never! :)
I agree with you. I wasn't born in the USA and english is my second language. I found this in a book relating to iq it's ment to be humorus not offensive; White people love gifted children. Do you know why? Because an astounding 100 percent of their kids are gifted! Isnt that amazing? Im pretty sure the last nongifted white child was born in 1962 in Reseda, Ca. Since then, its been a pretty sweet run. The way it works is that white kids who are actually smart are quickly identified..
as gifted and take special classes and eventually end up in college and then law school or med school. But wait, arent there white people who arent doctors and lawyers, or even all that smart? Well, here is another of those awesome white person win-win situations. If White kids get crappy grades and cant seem to ever do anything right in school, they are still gifted! How, you ask? They are just too smart for school...
They are too creative, too advanced to care about the trivial minutiae of the day-to-day operations of school. Eventually they will show their creativity in elaborate constructions of bongs and intimate knowledge of different kinds of mushrooms and hash.
I agree. I look at a persons occupation to determine approximate Intelligence. for instance; If one graduated high school with a GED and one is 40 years old living with mom then ones intelligence is low. on the other hand a PhD in physics and speak 4 languages = highly Intelligent.
okay first of all, he didnt do this on his first time. infact he probably did it 5+. second of all everyones saying they got 140's 143's etc. Okay that is around 1/800 rarity so if 3/4 people are saying they got that on their first or second try they're lying. Either the test IQ is wrong, or they are all liers..., or they did it so much until they actually got the score they wanted.
firefight33, your rarity numbers are a little off. score 140 would be 1/261 and 143 would be 1/482. seeing that 2200 people has viewed this site you'd get 4 people that could've score at or abpve 143 and 8 people scoring at or above 140. Incidentally top score for this test is 148 or 1/1455
HEHE, everyone likes to talk about their "CYBER IQ" They always add on at least 20 extra points to their cyber IQ, they can't resist exaggerating their IQ when online.
Yeah this is a mimic of the test. The real Advanced Ravens Progressive Matrices is a more valid measure because of the security of the test. The answers are all over the internet for this test.Try taking the World's Hardest I.Q. Test in 1985 OMNI and record yourself getting 48/48 correct.I took the rpm and missed one or two but i wasnt on my adhd meds otherwise i probably would of aced it.But if you didn't cheat on that test than you have a high "G" which correlates with any other cognitive test.
That bypasses the time limit, which is 39 minutes. Therefore, it reduces your IQ score. Also, this test is not accurate because you can try it again and again.
I like this test because it can be given to anyone around the world without being unfair.
I got this off of Wikipedia "Raven's Progressive Matrices "one of the best tests for measuring g," the general intelligence factor that all IQ tests measure to a greater or lesser degree." "Also said that it is a test of inductive reasoning, unadulterated by verbal, numerical, spatial, mechanical, or musical interference"
If you are truly smart you should do well on this test.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Google "Sunesis Society" High I.Q. society for Christians! Top 99.3rd percentile of the population-Smarter than Mensa! Come Join the Cause! Intelligence for Jesus!
i wish you would speak and explain your choices :) I remember I got over 130 but not enough for a Mensa level when I did this test. I really don't get 39 and 37. 34 surprised me, i would have chosen A :( stupid me. haha
lol its easy if u do this test a couple of times u remember all the questions. Then when you can do it really quick u upload it on youtube and claims that u r a genius!!!
order/ pattern = *RLN,LLN,RNR..Its correct if D is the right answer and u look at the plus/cross as an "X" , and the left and right greater/lesser symbols as forming an "O" and gave them equal value, ud have 2 lefts, 2 rights, and both with an neurtal character?

@NatSci It is redundant because you can arrive at the correct answer without using the second row. However, if the location of the black portion on the lower left shape was reversed (on the bottom) you would end up with the wrong shape (d) if you simply grew it. It isn't so much that it adds any critical information for solving the puzzle, as that it provides a logical transition. It just happens to be a transition that doesnt matter.
mcoke83 4 months ago
@NatSci I also find the arrow directions kind of counterintuitive. You clearly don't simply grow the shape in the direction of the arrow, because then the bottom right shape would be a slanted rectangle. So instead take an alternative explanation and assume that the arrow also represents the degree of rotation. Then the bottom left shape is rotated by 45 deg, which is fine. But then the top right doesn't work because a 90 deg rotation would give you an upside down version of the top right shape.

Nope, this's a pretty accurate IQ test. But in my opinion, Iq tests over the net aren't that reliable. This test starts out easy but gets a little more difficult. Besides, this guy probably memorized the answers.

20: Why this solution?
CastorinProduction 1 year ago
@CastorinProduction Imagine that there are "downward slopes" going to the left and too the right - and that this pattern continues to the left and too the right. Which of the slopes going to the left the "ball" is on decides what shape it has, and which of the "slopes" going too the left it's on decides which direction the ball/shape is turned.

You messed up on 29, the answer is E. That's why you're only getting 143, if you chose e on 29 it would of said your IQ is greater than 145, that's what i got. Good job by the way, I used you to get the ones i couldn't lol

@Ko252 the ANS to 39 is B.
explain:
in every ROW, every X turns into O, O to ^ and ^ to X (^ means trinagle). at the end of the row, EVERYTHING rotate to the right. see? TRY IT! IT WORKS!

ReflectedLuc1f3r 3 years ago
I agree with you. I wasn't born in the USA and english is my second language. I found this in a book relating to iq it's ment to be humorus not offensive; White people love gifted children. Do you know why? Because an astounding 100 percent of their kids are gifted! Isnt that amazing? Im pretty sure the last nongifted white child was born in 1962 in Reseda, Ca. Since then, its been a pretty sweet run. The way it works is that white kids who are actually smart are quickly identified..
willy1divx 3 years ago
as gifted and take special classes and eventually end up in college and then law school or med school. But wait, arent there white people who arent doctors and lawyers, or even all that smart? Well, here is another of those awesome white person win-win situations. If White kids get crappy grades and cant seem to ever do anything right in school, they are still gifted! How, you ask? They are just too smart for school...
willy1divx 3 years ago
They are too creative, too advanced to care about the trivial minutiae of the day-to-day operations of school. Eventually they will show their creativity in elaborate constructions of bongs and intimate knowledge of different kinds of mushrooms and hash.
willy1divx 3 years ago
I agree. I look at a persons occupation to determine approximate Intelligence. for instance; If one graduated high school with a GED and one is 40 years old living with mom then ones intelligence is low. on the other hand a PhD in physics and speak 4 languages = highly Intelligent.

@willy1divx You cannot be absolute, sometimes there psychological and social factors, you cannot judge a person's I.Q. by his/her way of living.
mcamoran 10 months ago
okay first of all, he didnt do this on his first time. infact he probably did it 5+. second of all everyones saying they got 140's 143's etc. Okay that is around 1/800 rarity so if 3/4 people are saying they got that on their first or second try they're lying. Either the test IQ is wrong, or they are all liers..., or they did it so much until they actually got the score they wanted.
firefight33 3 years ago
firefight33, your rarity numbers are a little off. score 140 would be 1/261 and 143 would be 1/482. seeing that 2200 people has viewed this site you'd get 4 people that could've score at or abpve 143 and 8 people scoring at or above 140. Incidentally top score for this test is 148 or 1/1455

don't be pessimistic, iq tests are just games for the brain, nothing more, you just do it for the fun of it, there's no reason to fake the results.

IQ test that is hackeable, watch my video, "Burlar IQ Test"
ponymag1c 3 years ago
Yeah this is a mimic of the test. The real Advanced Ravens Progressive Matrices is a more valid measure because of the security of the test. The answers are all over the internet for this test.Try taking the World's Hardest I.Q. Test in 1985 OMNI and record yourself getting 48/48 correct.I took the rpm and missed one or two but i wasnt on my adhd meds otherwise i probably would of aced it.But if you didn't cheat on that test than you have a high "G" which correlates with any other cognitive test.
Mathematiker7 3 years ago
I got 140 on this test but it took me all 40 minutes. I think you're pob. waaaay higher and you're hitting the upper limits of the test.
willy1divx 3 years ago
That bypasses the time limit, which is 39 minutes. Therefore, it reduces your IQ score. Also, this test is not accurate because you can try it again and again.
royfancoolguy 3 years ago
So, yeah, how is measuring just 1 aspect of IQ (which this test seems to do), that of spacial recognition, calculate IQ?
Okay, his brain can handle pictures and manipulate them. What about the rest? How fast can he answer, "one train leaves NYC travelling....".
or "FACCPII is the name of a animal, ocean, star...".
You see my point.
This video showed just 1 facet of IQ tests, and THAT, does not accurately measure IQ.
testman2 3 years ago
I like this test because it can be given to anyone around the world without being unfair.
I got this off of Wikipedia "Raven's Progressive Matrices "one of the best tests for measuring g," the general intelligence factor that all IQ tests measure to a greater or lesser degree." "Also said that it is a test of inductive reasoning, unadulterated by verbal, numerical, spatial, mechanical, or musical interference"
If you are truly smart you should do well on this test.

order/ pattern = *RLN,LLN,RNR..Its correct if D is the right answer and u look at the plus/cross as an "X" , and the left and right greater/lesser symbols as forming an "O" and gave them equal value, ud have 2 lefts, 2 rights, and both with an neurtal character?
My IQ average is 132, and thats my best explanation on number 14..
