I once believed that the UN body was a forum where all member nations could come to the table as equals but it appears that the 5 permanent members of the Security Council will not allow the UN to become a noble democratic forum of international peace and cooperation. The UN has failed, because the permanent members of the Security Council have strangled the democracy out of this World body. We are all living in their tyranny. The UN has failed as the previous League of Nations did after WW1.
Otherwise these threats will arise and the worlds people will not be able to speak with a single voice, and more importantly, to act as a unified force against threat.The greedy elites are still in power, worldwide. They work behind the scenes, that is the tragedy. But, may be, destructiveness may lead to self-destruction, sooner or later.
These issues are not confronted in the United Nations, even if theyre discussed and debated. Resolutions are designed to help remedy the problems, but ultimately it depends upon the will of the individual state to implement, monitor, report, analyze results, and make adjustments, and this is not enforced in any reasonable manner. Required is the ability to enforce and adjust resolutions based on sound analysis.
Unless the nations of the world are united (not to be confused with NWO) they will respond too slowly to the threats, and the decay forces will have such traction that they may be impossible to reverse.
But isnt this why the United Nations was formed? To deal with these very issues?
The threats that will confront the human population in the 21st century will be global issues whether they are intractable recessions, dwindling oil supplies, food distribution, overpopulation, pollution, nuclear fallout, they will require a global, coordinated response.

The United Nations was an amazing success!! They achieved every one of their objectives...bankrupting third world countries, spreading disease to resource rich Africa, loaning enormous sums of money to countries who cannot pay them back and then stealing their resources and twisting world policies to create the chaos we are seeing now. Solar panels aren't realistic. They don't produce the power needed in sunny Africa let alone areas that have less sunlight. Wind energy has the same limitations. I work with scientists as a physics major. Many of them are very accomplished. NONE of them deny climate change. They actually are more worried about climate change than most politicians, left or right.
Global warming it seems was a myth begun by the power again as a system of control to make us consume less oil while that precious resource is running low. Research peak oil and solar maximum. It seems the earth along with mercury, venus and mars are all heating up due to extra solar activity, powerful solar flares.

You don't understand what real communism is. Read the Communist Manifesto. Many nations (USSR, Cuba, North Korea, etc.) claim to be Communist, but were lying. Real communism couldn't exist with an "all-powerful government."

You should read up on US history. The most of the US was a 3rd world country until unions won worker's rights from the 1880's through the 1970's, and until FDR brought in social programs.
Its funny the 2 people you name as "morons" are conservative heroes, one an imperialist (Roosevelt) and the other another imperialist but also a radical anti-leftist (Wilson). I would think you would like Wilson though, since he did what you wanted, he considered Marxism to be treason.

I know US history very well. Wilson brought us the central bank and it has caused every collapse in the US economy since. With its money creation and inflation. Booms and busts in the recent 96 years have the Federal Reserves name written all over it. Even the most recent. Fractional reserve banking is to blame.

I have a friend who lived in Bulgaria and another that lived in Bosnia, both before the collapse of the Soviet Union. I've also met another from Moldova. None of them would agree with you. They see the fall of the Soviet Union both good AND bad. Bad, because people who used to have healthcare and pensions now have absolutely nothing. On the other hand, its good because at least people have hope to improve their own lives. Its not black and white like you see it.

They were harassed for going to church. That's because they were trained to take gov aide. The government trashed the economy and when it collapsed of course they would have nothing for years to come. They had massive hyperinflation brought on by costly social programs. The Nazi's called themselves socialists and China calls itself a republic, but that doesn't mean its true. Besides, the Lancet just came out with a study that showed 10 million people died when the USSR collapsed due to no more healthcare. That's a capitalist holocaust, and a failure of capitalism.

Health care is costly because of gov intervention. You don't understand economics if you think otherwise. Corporatism and socialism have ruined this country. Not Free Enterprise Capitalism. The system that has brought more people out of poverty and despair then any other. Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Belgium all are huge medical research nations, and yet the governments there regulate and/or run healthcare. Its naive to say that all the medical research comes from the US. I know this especially since my grandfather was a drug salesman for Burroughs Wellcome, and my father works for a chemical corporation (Hexion) that supplies chemicals to drug companies (Bayer). What you are saying is a total lie, you are just repeating right-wing propaganda.

I've read quite a few words, and I used to be a thoughtful capitalist and had reasons to believe in capitalism. I no longer hold those beliefs, and find Marxism much more reasonable. Read some alternative theories on "Climate change formally known as Global warming" Its BS to strengthen the UN as a government with actual authority. So is the pipe dream of nuclear disarmament. Disarm the nations so the UN has the exclusive nukes. There are documents from the 60s Kennedy administration that state that plain as day. Its a shame people fall for myths.

Sorry, but the UN didn't invent climate change. It came, obviously, from the scientific community, just like other theories- gravity, general relativity and evolution. I work with scientists as a physics major. Many of them are very accomplished. NONE of them deny climate change. They actually are more worried about climate change than most politicians, left or right.

It seems the earth along with mercury, venus and mars are all heating up due to extra solar activity, powerful solar flares.

I know about peak oil. I understand that it could one day run out although huge oil reserves were discovered off of Brazil. Said to be the largest in the world.
I don't believe in social engineering so to tax and tell us myths to MAKE us cut down on oil consumption is BS. The free market as oil costs increase would naturally have that affect. People would adopt other sources as they get cheaper in relative to oil. Who knows what source that could be by then
