I remember playing this, I loved it but it was hard. A few times I came to a big city but then I would die, I still wonder how close I was to finish it, does anybody have a longplay video or something?? Do you guys remember the big city in the game?

Awesome Game! I always used to shoot down the yeelow plane, dont know who he was, I could hit andthing with a bomb. Id use my shadow as a guide. The letters on the bar top right ment damage and had codes, F was fuel leek. P ment airfield nut wasnt always friendly. L ment landing strip. Some times if you landed late you'd take off to low into a tree. you could also force it over the river on different routes.

Then came Spitfire 40.

I clearly remember playing this a kid in Germany. Just think of the technological advance in the field of computers that has been made since then! Compare IL2 or Microsft Combat FS. BTW: you suck at blue max, dude ;-)

What is odd is how ppl actually believe that the Eisernes Kreuz is a maltese cross when clearly the Max is the maltese and the Iron Cross is a cross pattee'. I do know what the Orden Pour Le' Me'rite is I have two one in genuine silver and one in genuine gold both repros obviously I collect militaria from this era. The Pour le merite (french : For the merit) also called der blaue Max (The Blue Max) was Germany's highest military award until the end of ww1.

The reason why it has a french name was that french was the official language of the prussian courts at the time the medal was founded in 1740.

Promising basic 2D.x dimensional game into 3D game in nowadays simulators and computer games is quite constructive in the games industry. Very good to remind modern game 4D programmers about this, realizing where computer graphics hardware and their games of higher dimensions relevant to two-dimensional mapping lead them into now!
