Yeah, I love "telsa Tech" especially the Cosmic Cells for energy capture and then there is the whole Electromatnetic field to control weather thing...lol

YOu have to understand that it was the FREE ENERGY part that Westinghouse and a lot of peole that wanted to control, regulate, and profit off of energy distribution had a problem with
They really didn't realize selling the devices that asorbed and used the power was the money maker
All the circuts in the Radio was patented by TElsa and Radio was a slice of his Towers ability so he was ruled the true inventor of Radio in a court of law

All humanity has to do is build a few thousand molten salt thorium reactors. They spit out about 1,000 times LESS radioactive wastes. AND that waste halflives down to biosphere safe levels in 300 years NOT 10,000 years!
There is enough thorium to power the planet with excess of energy for thousands of years. There's thorium on the moon and in the asteroids too.

@pinglia I would definitely say that we CAN save this planet, but the forces that be (aka greedy profiteers) struggle over control of it. Even NASA has resources to do just as much harm as they can good. The horse and buggy is more of a religious aspect, which so many have not learned about. Of course, we may be far worse than we are at present if they did learn the esoterics.
@pinglia Do you know the scope of changes that have occurred on this planet since before and after the dawn of human history? Try to be a little more observant and check your emotions at the door please.
@pinglia If we don't speed up our research to GM food we'll run out of food at 2050 and the numbers of people will slowly decrease. This will decrease the use of energy aswell so the release of greenhouse gases will be reduced. However, if we manage to feed the human population so the human population will grow further, global warming isn't gonna stop and we'll heat things up pretty bad before the next ice age. When the next ice age arives humans will probably die anyway though..

When are we going to see humans on Mars? Never.
When are humans ever going to return to the moon? Never.
The future of human space exploration is measured in decades, not centuries, and will be limited to low Earth orbit as the human space flight era nears its end.
After losing human space flight, humankind will lose air travel and automobiles next. Technological civilization has accomplished a bunch but, by its very nature, it cannot last for very long.
Oh please, technologies never die. I suppose you're referring to sustainability. Well, the whole idea of space colonization is to address that problem. And obviously, as the need arises, more sustainable and efficient technologies will be invented. You can't just expect technology to simply go away, and the "technological civilization" to just end, it's part of being human to invent new technologies.

People who don't believe that humans walked on the moon, I suppose, are beyond the reach of reason.
Soon enough, though, the human space exploration era will end and people will find it hard enough to believe that humans ever left the Earth.
Then the airplane era will end and people will find it difficult to believe that humans flew like birds up in the sky.
Ultimately, technological civilization will end and all of these things will become myths suitable only for children ...
