  • That was a great how-to video for those who are new to the hobby and would rather make their own rather than buy one.. But you left out a couple things. What other material besides rubber bands would you use for the bungy system? How does the ejection charge work and what do you use for the ejection charge?

  • @randy12368 Actually, the bungy material I like the best is an elastic material used in clothing. It's made up of strands of rubber that have string sewn around them. You can pick it up at Walmart or Micheal's in large or small strands. Fortunately, the ejection charge is just part of the Estes rocket motors. It's built in, so there's no need to make your own (there's a little pocket of black power in the top end of the motor that creates a minor explosion inside the rocket to pop the top off).
