Nice performance. The L/R hand changeovers are the tricky part, getting the chordal pacing steady across the changes... What was the keyboard you were using there? I'm thinking of getting Ivory 1.5 but have no idea for the best midi controller to give that gentle wood weighted feel - thoughts welcome :-)

Ha Ha i played this piece on a grand one nite at a bar. i was sitting on a duet stool. Before i new it i was surrounded by women, including one sitting beside me.

I was around 24 yrs old had hair and was better looking.

Darius this is fantastic; a treat to listen to! I do have a pedantic question, hope you don't mind. Without calling your obvious talent into question at all (nor the music, which I don't doubt you're reading correctly), I'm missing the B flats from 0:12-0:14 which I seem to recall from the album version. They're in your video from 0:09-0:10, but then they drop out in the phrasing that follows. I realize this presents a fingering problem (L thumb is a possibility). Am I way off?

Hi, i dont quite get your question, but when i listen carefully to grusins recording, Im pretty sure the piano has been multitracked for this tune for (i think) the reasons you mentioned above, I remember when I was listening to the original having this feeling. ok hope that helps, d

I realise what an influence the Grusin brothers are to you, but you must look up the Canadian songwriter David Foster. If you have not heard of him, I promise you will love his stuff.Very similar to the Grusins.

Very nice. you dont have the hands of a pianist, but you obviously have an inate talent and feeling which shows. Works from the Firm is well suited for Digital Piano, you can tart it up a little with effects. I once played this piece in a Lounge Bar on a grand when i was in my early twenties, within a few minutes i had females swaning around, they love this sort of stuff, and its not to hard to play.....One of them took me home... wonderful... pianists sometimes have the winning card...
