Why spend the money and get a laptop? Because you can't carry a Desktop on the bus to a friends house to have a massive LAN party. And PC's keep you confined to one room, and you can't move it (easily) to a TV to plug it in for big screen gaming.

Someone needs to tell me how to "activate" that crossfire logo he's got in the top right hand corner of his screen... Looked everywhere on the Catalyst Control Panel and couldn't find it anywhere also i'm running the exact same system as the one in this video however i have the 8GB RAM... Let me ask you 5150Joker, Are you running SSD ?? Im thinking of upgrading to them as i am currently running dual 500GB 7200RPM drives. Thanks

Looks like the 940XM makes a huge difference. With a 740QM, I can barely manage Warhead on Gamer settings. First few chapters were alright, playable but far from satisfying, stutters every now and then, then the lag got worse when the place freezes over, especially when it reaches the 'pilot the hovercraft' part. :I *wants a new CPU*

17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 RGB LED (1200p)

Dual CrossfireX 5870's

My doubt is what video card is "better"? the 5870 in crossfire or the GeForce GTX 285M in sli? tks a lot....

@ivobrazil 5870 is quite abit better than the 285m, and its able to play in DX11 while the 285 only play in DX10

I know that the resolution is 1920x1200 but still, u have a Mobility 5870 Crossfire and the fastest mobile CPU on and u only have 35-40fps even if everything is on enthusiast

Im happy that i bought a pc with 5970 and i7 950 + 6Gb 1600Mhz... for a lower price (by far) with a 2ms HD screen as well

It's a fucking laptop, not a desktop. You can't compare the two. The 5870m in crossfire is between a desktop 5850/5870 in speed, that's pretty damn fast for a mobile system. Lets see you lug your desktop around.

60-100% faster than a SINGLE 5870m. Compared to the 4870m Crossfire which I reviewed before, with the latest driver improvements + video bios, I think it's widened the gap to about 20% faster at stock vs Crossfire 4870s. If you factor in how insanely high the 5870s in the M17x overclock, it can go up to 35-40% faster in certain games/applications.

Depends on the game but I'd say anywhere from 60-100% faster is what I've measured.
