  • This stuff really does work. It is worth the $. Also try out Adhesive off.

    We love it.!!!

  • let me guess... that wrap wasn't older than 1 year... maybe two? Im working on a car tight now. It has a 5 year old wrap. its not 3m.. maybe oracal or avery and the roof is all cracked up ( florida sun). overlam just comes off the printed vinyl, snaps, cracks - i have to scrape it and pull it inch by inch:(

vinyl off didnt really help. soaked the door 3 times, every 10 mintues. used half of the small battle of 1 door.

  • @CSOCSO You can call our technical support dept and they will work with you on finding a solution for your removal. .... vinyl that is only 1-2 years old can usually be removed with just a heat gun and Vinyl Off isn't necessary. If you've ever removed vinyl graphics you know every job is different and a lot of things can affect how difficult it is to remove, especially sun damage, waxes that may have been used, if the graphics were applied before the car paint was cured and dry, etc.

  • Do you have advice on removing old lettering decal glue on a canvas awning ? I'm worried the solvent might hurt the awning . I was going to paint over some of the old glue with acrylic paint to make the new letters.

  • I am looking to use this product at an auto auction to remove Rent-A-Center wraps from box trucks. About how much area can you cover with the largest size bottle?

  • @jessedc A gallon of Vinyl Off will cover approximately 1500 sq ft or a fully wrapped 53 ft trailer.

  • so in this video its safe just to take it off????? or will it fuck up the paint if you dont do it right?

  • @thisisyourboss You should ALWAYS TEST first! As long as it is OEM high temp cured paint you are fine! If you are using it on a repaint you did yourself in your garage then yes...it will potentially remove your paint. If you do notice a softening of the paint simply rinse gently with water and LEAVE IT ALONE! it will harden back up. We are always available for technical support, give us a call for more detailed instructions.

  • i have a black truck thats got green flames going down the side that i hate i want it off i tryed heat and one of them little rubber wheel things that go on a drill nothing is working i hate the decal on the side will this work for this and how long dose it take to ship and where do i buy thanks

  • @xyourxlifex Vinyl Off should work on your removal, however, please be certain to test in a small area on the paint before applying Vinyl Off. As long as you have factory paint there shouldn't be a worry. If your graphics are reflective I would recommend first "roughing" the surface of the graphic with 100 grit sanding sponge, WIPE Vinyl Off on, heat, then pull the graphic off. If this method does not work for you feel free to give our technical support a call!

  • @xyourxlifex

You may visit our website and click the locate a distributor link to find a local distributor.

  • Ordered this stuff after watching this and it does NOT work like video at all. After leaving it on for 10 minutes would not come off so I sprayed it again then I had to get a heat gun to get the graphics/stripes off my horse trailer. What it took off then was the vinyl part only, all the adhesive was left stuck on so I had to get another product for that and scrape it off. Would not recommend ordering this.

  • @palominonut -- When reading the directions for Vinyl Off, you will see that we do recommend that you use heat as necessary. When Adhesive is left behind this usually means that you have heated the area a little too much, allowed the Vinyl Off to evaporate off, or it it could just be a stubborn adhesive that requires a little extra work. We do have a product...Adhesive Off that will remove most Adhesives, even the ones that Vinyl Off isn't as strong aggainst.

  • Wow! That's the best stuff ever! No heat and elbow grease here, it's magic!

  • @woodsinme I'm happy to hear Vinyl Off made life a littel easier for you! That's what we're here for! I would like to add that iin most removals a little heat is necessary but as you have pointed out .... that's not always the case!

  • I have a decal stripe on my mustang that I'd like to take off, would this work and where can I actually buy it?

  • What about that real old vinyl lettering that is brittle?

  • Yes, in fact this is what we recommend Vinyl Off for. Vinyl Off essentially rejuvenates the Vinyl so that it may be removed in larger pieces.

  • It did not work for my old vinyl lettering at all. I would try heat gun and then using "Rustoleum adhesive off" bought at Auto store to get the rest off.

  • @palominonut There are many factors that can affect the adhesive removal process, and no one product/method could possibly cover every issue that may arise. I would also like to add that while Vinyl Off may not work for every job, there are millions that it has worked on and it's worth the time to test the graphics you are trying to remove to see if it will save you time moeny and effort on that particular job. We are always available for technical support on those "tougher" jobs.

  • It will...however I would recommend you try Adhesive Off. Vinyl Off is actually a vinyl remover that will penetrate through the vinyl and attack the adhesive.

  • Help ! I removed all the lettering from my black truck but the adhesive remained ..will this work on removing the adhesive

  • I have a 1987 Bayliner boat I am refurbing- I want to remove the old stripes that appear to be vinyl. Keep in mind there is a gelcoat under the graphics- will this product work?

  • Yes it will certainly work. Gelcoat is not pourus and would be impervious to Vinyl Off. Of course we always recommend testing before applying to any surface, the environment and paint condition can always play a role in whether or not chemicals will be safe to use. As long as paint has been properly cured then Vinyl Off shouldn't harm the surface. When unsure of the paint surface I would suggest WIPING Vinyl Off alomst to the edge of the graphic and then removing.

  • Not bad, but digital wraps are typically pretty easy to remove anyway, given they are all one piece.

How does the stuff work on standard vinyl letters and graphics?

  • It works great! As long as it's vinyl you're good to go. We recommend doing a small section as you normally would with out Vinyl Off, then the next section use Vinyl Off. This should give you an idea if it will benefit you on any particular job. You can get an 8oz bottle at most distributors to try out, this is only waround $10 and it will cover approx 60 sq ft

  • As long as it's vinyl (even reflective) it will work great. You'll see the most difference when it is difficult to remove. Can cut removal time on difficult vinyl by as much as 90%!
