I like the idea that this "universality" that you speak of is an important counter balance and not a full lean. The idea that "i am" has it's importance to me. I believe selfishness is key in motivation and human creativity. Maybe there is a way to pin a sense of selfishness on "cosmic awareness". Wouldn't that be crazy if the cosmos were selfish? Maybe they are, just enough. : )

Well,the idea is not so much that the universe BECAME conscious,but rather,that an infinite consciousness became the universe.
