When tv used to be funny … now we need to see Snooki fall flat on her face on a beach just to be able to roll our eyes in bemusement. And before I'm accused of being "old", yes I'm forty one, but I don't feel a day over 40. :o)
I think he was trying to go through the wall completely the first time he tried. The floor was too slick for him to get a straight run at it and it wouldn't allow him to go all the way through. I think this is the funniest blooper I've ever seen!!
The television networks need to have their CEO's come to youtube and see how much we miss this type of quality entertainment. I loved this show. I'm proud and damn proud too!
Wish these shows would come back on..need re runs on tv of good old shows like this!...I love it and I am 19!...It is classic.haaaaaaa.Need to go back to this..shows now r pretty lame and just ridiculous.
How come we have had such great laughter seeing /hearing these comedies could it be life was more "enjoyable" than to-day... where did those days disappear... ain't nothing like this for to-day's "so called comodies"... mainly full of rubbish. Great 2mins. here!!!
i think breaking the fake wall just added to the hiliarity! and i do agree tv sucks today! we need more variety shows with LIVE audiences, enough with the t&a how bout some fun and laughter!
this character was the one that cracked me up to tears, especially when he was trying to fix the curtains & carol came in & shoved the curtains to one side, along with the old man. (not shown in this clip)
If you look closely, Conway is controlling the wheelchair, Conway is looking at the director offstage to see if he wants to continue or not. When you see Conway wave his hand, the director offstage is telling him the scene is a no go, but Conway keeps up the act. At about 1:15, you can actually see Conway controlling the wheelchair.
Tim Conway's looking at the guy controlling the wheelchair like "I know you're doing it on purpose... keep going!" hahaha I lol'd really hard at this!! ^_^
does anyone know where the entire skit can be seen? is it on youtube and what name is it under? I remember this from my childhood--about 30 years ago.
Well after being in a wheel chair for 5 years and a walker for 12 this just killed me - one of the funniest flicks of Tim Conway. lol killing me softly
I love that Conway has the comic presence to know he's completely shattered the illusion of the sketch by breaking the fake wall, so he ends it perfectly by just walking through the window. Brilliant.
Too funny! Looks like the wheelchair got the best of Tim. I'd probably be like that if I ever had to use an electric wheelchair; give me the manual w/c's anyday! LOL
Someone has to find the other oldman skits. One was on here with Korman and Conway, where Conway was the wardrobe man but kept having a hard time working the rotating closet.
When I was a young child, I used to look forward to Saturdays. It was the greatest, you had cartoons in the morning, sports in the afternoon (Go Cubs) and The Muppet Show followed by Carol Burnett and Friends. Carol Burnett's Show along with Sanford and Son, All and the Family and the Honeymooners are timeless shows. The creativity of the writers was so great. My GOD where has it gone. Harvey Corman, Redd Foxx, Jackie Gleason and Carrol O'Connor RIP.
Watching these Carol Burnett show sketches- as we celebrate the life of the irreplaceable genius Harvey Korman- reminds me of how great comedy, on TV and in movies was. We need to return back to those days.
taraniso, why do you come here and watch this then? With your shit ass remark, this is classic comedy at its best, live, in front of a live audience. You obviously have the personality of a car crash, dont comment if you dont like it, plain and simple! This clip is hilarious, as all Tim Conway stuff is.
This isn't funny at all. It's Conway milking a crummy bit again way too long. He's wasting production time just to roll around and get cheap belly-laughs from the audience. I remember that Burnett would always break character and look into the camera. The musical numbers were the absolute worst. My parents would watch this along with Lawrence Welk. I guess in the 70's this was funny, but then, so was Gallagher.
you have no sense of humor tar.....lighten up and get a life....thats funny stuff....but then im sure you think southpark is funny too, or beavis and butthead
This is also an outtake from the show. It would not be what a television audience would have seen. If you've ever been an active participant of live theater, you would see that sometimes things go a bit awry and the performer DOES milk it for what it's worth and everyone has a great time. Please learn to enjoy the moment else you will continue to be miserable.
Please, if someone happens to find the sketch where Carol Burnett plays Queen Elizabeth and Steve Lawrence the Prince, then there's this palace guard who doesn't let them come into it. Carol (the Queen) just goes berzerk over the guard and twists her crown and all of her hairdo comes undone.
I'm a youngin' but back in the early 90's this show was on. I remember sitting as a kid and watching this show and laughing so hard! I actually have a chance to meet Tim Conway next month! I'm stoked!
I dont know if its on here or not, but if you can find the dentist routine TIM and Harvey do, Harvey cant kepe a straight face for nothing, tim has him in stitches so much its almost a crime.
Between the Carol Burnett Show and I Love Lucy, you could laugh your ass off until the cows came home. No other show has generated so much laughter and pure comedic genius as these two shows.
I'm still trying to find a clip where Tim is a butler(?) and goes to open the door but sits on the doorknob instead...this was ad-libbed too I believe. anyone know where I can find it?
I vividly remember this skit (the released on TV take) when it was new-probably Tim's best-he falls out the window-crashes to the ground, & about 10 seconds later calls out, "I'M...F-A-L-L-I-N-G...." That was probably the hardest I had ever laughed in my life!! The funniest skits on the CB show were always the ones featuring him IMO-Love it!!!!!!!!
i remember my mom and me would watch this every saturday night, we couldn't wait to see how long it would take for tim to get everyone laughing, tv at its best
Brilliant stuff! I remember on more than a few occasions they just said to heck with it and left the bloopers in. If this show were made 10 years earlier it would all have been broadcast live!
This show was on Saturday nights at 9:00pm on CBS. I made sure I had my bowl of popcorn and a coke and get ready to laugh for an hour. The best variety show ever! Thank you you for posting.
I remember being a 9 year old kid and loving this show. Why can't they make more like this nowadays? Sure, there are some funny shows nowdays (The Office, Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons, Best Week Ever, Daily Show), but there should be room for this kind of stuff too!
He is one of the funniest men alive. I remember seeing him and Harvey Korman and as an 8 yr old, I never laughed so hard..thank you for these memories. :D
