As a certified die-hard Kurt fan, I can tell you that the Kurt signature jaguar is a complete rip off. This guitar is over $1000, the guitars he played were always lower end, and he smashed them up. If you want to emulate a Kurt Cobain sound, just buy a lower end Jag and a DS-1. You're all set ;D

@StainIessChina that's actually not true, the american ones are the same quality, have the same sound, and are both made by the same people...People think the american fenders are better because they are more expensive, but the truth is a mexican standard strat has the same shape, wood, pickups, tuners and build quality as an american. Labor costs in america are high, which is the only reason they cost more. Japanese and korean fenders blow away them both though.

@SoAwesomelyFunny See I used to think that, but I now own 2 USA Fender's one I inherited and the other is an American Deluxe I got brand new for $600 which is about the same as a lot of MIM fenders and since switching to American Fenders I haven't even looked back everything about them is better especially the pickups, USA Fenders (custom shop aside) are pretty reasonably priced actually considering PRS and Rickenbacker are probably the only better quality companies.

@CanadianChronic2121 So what if it does?. Squiers are pretty darn good these days. I've played many Classic Vibe guitars, and I think they're often better than the MIM Fenders. I would happily pay $400 for a Classic Vibe Telecaster rather than pay twice as much just to have one with "Fender" on the headstock.

But anyway, the only Squier Jaguars are the HH and the two basses, and this guitar certainly doesn't sound like any of those. Nope, not at all.

Not everyone can afford a vintage or US-made Fender. They're way too expensive. Do you even know why famous artists like Kurt Cobain, etc originally used these guitars? Because they were CHEAP! In the late 70s and early 80s, nobody wanted them. Surf music wasn't big, and grunge didn't exist yet. Jags and JMs were cheaper a Strat or Tele.
