  • this is cheap and awsome

  • can i use wd40 for the degreasing?

  • @yellowman88 NO!!

  • @yellowman88 Don't do it! WD-40 may help but it's only temporary, and when it wears of it leaves your chain stripped of anything. Then your chain will wear out quickly because it has no lubrication.

  • Lance Armstrong owns that bike shop

  • @HiTONEz1407 if you don't clean it before you lube it grit in the chain combines with the chain lube making a thick paste that grinds up your chain and screws up shifting, plus also grinds into your rear derailleur, cogs, and chainrings

  • hah i love how ur forks say dirty while ur cleaning ur bikeXD

  • what happens when you dont clean it? sorry if its a dumb question. im a noob

  • Thanks, I learned something new.

  • never heard using rubbing alcohal before

  • @therockkkkher

he uses alcohol because alcohol is volatile and will evaporate at about room temp. it's the best to use for this purpose because, unlike soaps and degreasers, it doesn't leave a residue behind forever. soap, by contrast, never really disintegrates. it just disperses. the soap residues stay behind and dissolve the oils and lubricants you put on the chain after cleaning it. alcohol is the best cleaner for any surface you are prepping to put something on to later.

  • @marshamk thanks man !!! ill have to try it !!!
