Men who are obsessed with long hair are (in my opinion) too concerned with women expressing TOTAL femininity. I personally like the pixie look. Actually, that's a lie. I find it absolutely and quite literally fucking sexy! It has that sporty, "I don't care about your standards", chic look.

LOVE IT! Wouldn't have it any other way.

Plus, don't most women adore the fact that it's remarkably low maintenance compared to longer hair? Rock on girlies :)

I am participating in a student hair competition on Oct 16 2011, and doing a short cut.. something similar to this.. So these few videos are very very helpful.. I never thought about using the texsturizing shears for a whole cut. Thank you very much for that idea :D

The model is so pretty, you could have put a rag mop on her head and she would have still been pretty!

I've had clients who went straight home and washed their hair and tried to style it like I had just styled it and come back crying because it takes so long.

Yeah, your standing in your hot bathroom with your arms up over your head, its going to take a little longer, and more than likely your not going to blow dry in the directions I did and take the time to curl like I did.

can i say as a hairstylist. if you don't have the right hair type as in straight and not thick you won't get the same finish. i hate it when people come to get their hair cut with a photo and want that cut. you try to explain to them that their hair type may be different, they don't get it. and we style or blowave it looks great. then they go home wash it and don't style it themselves and think we've done a crap job. sooooo anoying

I've recently had my hair cut pixie short! but not in the same style as this. I love the finish of this though, really lovely. I get a bit annoyed cause my hair is wavy/curly and never lies straight, has a tendancy to stick up flick out, curl here etc. I want to go shorter!!! I love short hair at the back, I think it looks great :) You did a fantastic job here.

Ilike this hair cut. I am a hair stylist n I think he did take too much off with the thining but you have to remeber that when the hair grows back it will not get so thick in some place. The one thin I didn't like was that the bangs could have been a bit longer to make it more hollywood. But all in all I like it a lot not boyish at all kinda of rocker meets regular ppl.

I've been trying to get Rihannas look, but everythime I go to the salon they never get the back quite right, I think the next time I go I'm gonna have to tell em to make sure they cut it like they would a guys in the back just so it's the correct length, and so it's faded in correctly. Ugh.

I have worn my hair like this for many years. You can slick it down or put some curl on the top and ruff up the back and nape with a little gel. Very versatile cut!

I sort of agree with you about stopping cutting. However, the finished product, though short, is very nice, and she'll get a couple of more weeks out of the cut. Additionally, it's going to grow in really nicely.  I like it both a little longer, and the way it has been finished. As he said, he's tailoring this and personalizing it to put his signature on it. Very nice.

Perfect cut! This was painful to watch because I just had this style done but mine was *not* executed like this and I areas that do not blend well and a head full of fuzz because my whole head was cut with a razor (my hair is curly and fine and did not seem to like this).... my stylist did not go back and refine the cut after and it shows.... I hope to find a stylist to repair my frayed ends!
