I didnt really know about malaysian chinese until I came to university in Canada. The university here is like one third Chinese so we have a big circle of mandarin speaking friends here. I am in the fourth year now, and a few weeks ago when we were filling the forms for graduation ceremony together we were so shocked that around 20 of them were from Malaysia.....

We, non-malays, are GLAD to study Malay.In fact, most of the top scorers in Malay essay are usually Chinese, especially SPM. but PLEASE dun make it hard for the younger generation to study science and maths in malay,it's crazy. Why make life difficult. We(non malay) know our place very well. We pay our taxes, dun eat pork or mention in front of u. Why make us hard to further our tertiary studies? Why try to make us hate Malays. They are innocent. It is the PEOPLE in the politics who are dirty.

I also hate the government for giving false hopes to students who studied really hard, especially non-Malays, like me. coz in the end, the dream is shattered. Im not racist. Im actually quite happy that my hometown, the biggest land of Malaysia is not developing that fast. I dont' want it to be filled with clubs, malls and condominiums like KL. I like how the vast land of trees and abundant presence of stray animals around us. buit yes, I HATE the government too. especially my Chief Minister, who never NEVER retires and continue to snatch away ppl's land, bumiputera AND non-bumi, while he, himselve, get all the "wealth".

My dad is from Muar, neighbour of Namewee actually. Used to play together when we were young kids. I only go back during holidays though. Stopped going back when I was around 8. The people are friendly but the government yucks. Went back last year for a chuch performance. Still friendly people with great hospitality. But can't believe there is not much changes to Muar. And its been close to 20 yrs.. The country is not developing? Where is all the money for development? Tsk tsk.

This is one of the reasons why I am applying for a PR in Australia. By the way, to the guy who wrote the Ferrari comment, that may be based on observation alone. However, the actual fact is that most Ferrari Owners ARE Chinese. The minority of royalty/datos only earn a few percentage of luxury supercars while majority are Chinese entrepreneurs/business owners and of course Dato's as well. So yeah, the chinese control the economy,but we did so without gov help.
