Yeah definitely want to get this exact setup. But also, HD footage via youtube, typically ma\eans 1280x720 of the mp4 h.246 comrpession, which is high res for mp4. Correct me if I'm wrong
so if i had a hvx200 and i used a usb or something to import videos to my pc it would loose quality even if i put the videos onto windows movie maker and then onto youtube?
Great shots! I have just brought the Letus Extreme to use with my Canon XM2, it works good and I have achieved similar quality as your footage, but I have encountered one problem, not with the letus, but compression. How did you manage to keep that sharp look on youtube? I've just put my footage up and it looks pants, it is not good representation of the letus because the compression has messed it up.

I use Final Cut Pro's Compressor software and export the HD footage as an MPEG-2 Program file. Best of luck!

when importing your hd footage to your pc will it loose picture quality?

Nope -- Not at all. unless you compress (de-res) upon importing on purpose.

Well, yes, You Tube never looks as good as your original footage.

but it does sometimes come out in hd on youtube doesnt it

That's more to do with your internet connection than HD.

if you don't have something good like Final cut, or Sony Vegas.. I wouldn't recommend getting this because you can't even render HD in movie maker.
