Ok so im mildly confused...This is all one take and you used no pedals or anything...How was it that you switched between seriously distorted/crunch in the intro and then to a mild gain in the verse...then back to crunchy for the solo. And the bridge has a beatuiful clean sound...how was this acomplished? Sounded great nontheless :P
@unbredraptor first thing you have to understand is i record using virtual amps/pedals so its just a guitar signal being processed. for the clean and slightly distorted rhythm, it was one take. i just split the track where there is the transition, and drag them into their separate tracks with the virtual effects. the solo and heavily distorted parts were recorded separately, but if you read it, i said "one take per guitar sound" meaning each had one take. but this isnt exactly true now is it ;)
@savearhinoceros play an old squier strat with humbuckers against a new american. play them side by side. they sound nothing alike. play it against a gibson sg, and its almost dead on. i've actually won bets in shops against employees about whether they like my strat or any other strat in store!
but as i mentioned, i dont use a single "amp" or "effect". all virtual. i have a list of them for this particular cover in the description! :)
nice job!! :)

@xXTwilightW0lfXx i believe with writing a solo, it took me a total of less than a half hour with most of the time going toward writing the solo.
