Chinese is a language. Cantonese is a dialect from Guang dong/HK. Jay is from Taiwan and speaks the Mandarin/ Hokkien dialect. His English and Cantonese is actually quite poor for all you American/Canadian girl's information. Probably 70% of all North Americans know where China is but not Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. and can't even tell between Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
