In his speech in Munich in April of 1922, he describes his belief that nationalism and, what he called socialism, are two identical concepts. Bismark enacted both gun control and the national public health program almost two decades before Hitler was born. The Nazis often discussed revoking Bismark's national health system - it was never done for fear of losing public opinion in their favor. And, Hitler worked to reduce the size of government. Nazi documents from the time are full of calls for smaller government.

@ABGAN100 Hitler instituted the German Weapons Act of 1938, which deregulated the ownership of rifles and shotguns, lowered the minimum age required to obtain a firearms license, extended the length of gun permits, and expanded the scope of those who were exempted from restrictions. Germany had much tougher gun control policies before Hitler came to power. Any way you slice it, Hitler relaxed gun-control, not the other way around.
